About ukrainians in the comments. They had more than 30 years, better starting conditions and climate to make something better, and their goverment told "We free from USSR, from Russia, we don't need to feed lazy and drunk older brother, now we can live better than he.", but in fact we see results. All that can do, is eternal cry about us, ruining their country.

Just found you a few days ago. As a fellow and hopefully soon, a former American, I do not recognize this country I live in anymore. I have looked to Russia as a place where I can live where I feel comfortable again. I have been learning Russian for a few years now and plan on making the move in a couple years. I want out of the US before it is too late.
So, may u check "Dom Migranta". This is both an immigrants support center and a Language school related to RUDN University. This school prepares for residency tests and organize them. So, u can come on a Student visa arranaged by such school, study language and when u are ready to pass the tests u can apply for residency (temporary, where mark "3" is allowed, later - permanent, with higher marks"), after that u can apply for citizenship. Rules at the border has become stricter. The "Migrant card 2024" is being tested now. Cash one can bring but declare it and have proofs of their origins (like u sold your property papers, closed your bankaccounts papers). Migration law is changing, so follow the updates. Maybe there'll be some Programm for Foreigners resettlment to Russia, but it is not ready yet.
Quite soon west immigration will turn into a river and Russia will have to start filtering people so I would suggest u not to delay this decision because with time it will be increasingly hard to do

Те, кто хотел и мог переехать, прежде всего те, кто женаты на русских, уже переехали или переезжают. Остальным, может проще не дёргаться, переждать. Сколько я ни пыталась разобраться с нашим иммиграционными правилами, там нужно знать русский язык, чтобы подать на оформление документов для Вида на жительство или Разрешения на временное проживание. А выучить язык - это же долго, как ни крути... Если позаниматься с репетитором, прорешать все задания в тестах на РВП или ВНЖ, тогда можно пройти тестирование. В любом случае, основанием для подачи документов на РВП или ВНЖ, должна быть причина - работа в России, особо необходимая профессиия (тогда сразу можно на ВНЖ подавать, но 6 месяцев нужно проработать в России по этой профессии) или студенческая виза (хотя бы от Языковой школы при Университете). Короче, консультируйтесь с иммиграционным юристом, но они заинтересованы в том, чтобы оформить квоту для мигранта (есть такая опция), но дальше нужно тесты по русскому языку сдавать (тесты на РВП или ВНЖ) и что делать? Основанием для нахождения на территории России должна быть работа, учёба или семейные связи (но тут тоже нужен тест на ВНЖ).

According to the author, the Spaniards envy the Russians (from what I remember): in free medicine; safe in Russia; in relations between citizens; the ability to receive and order the necessary documents in one place (MFC); in central heating in the cold season; on inexpensive and high-speed Internet; cleanliness on the streets..☺
Плюс прекрасные детские садики с 4-х разовым питанием и обучением детей от математики до театра. Школы с бесплатными обедами. Материнский капитал и всякие "плюшки" для детей. А многодетные семьи так вообще завалены плюшками.
Good overview. The taxes are paid by the employer so the agreed on wage is the take home pay and the employer pays the tax on top of our wage. So if you agreed on say, $1000 a month, that is when you would take home and have no further adjustments or deductions. Overall cost of living is much lower because it is so simple...cell phone connection..about $5 and it is not monthly so you were leaving the country for 2 months when you return you would need to pay the $5 and in a few seconds the phone connection is turned on. About $50-60 for utilities, if you are very active moving to other areas you will use up maybe $50/month in a unified cost for all transportation(subways, bus tram, trollies river taxi) would be about $50 a month if you were using them every day. It is so pleasant to walk in the city centers that my very active life style is usually free because of walking. On a date, in bad weather you would probably use a taxi like Uber or Yandex Drive...much cheaper than the US. A very different mindset is needed in Russia. In the US you would be wary of a couple of teens hanging out in a part or on the street or a midnight Walking from a from a play, opera or pub. If you were female you would cross the street or reverse to head away. Stranger equals danger. Here you would assume they are good people ask directions from. Out exploring is a no stress activity and often how you met your best friend. Everyone gets along, regardless of age, sex, ethnicity or income status. During the Africa Summit in St Petersburg last summer I met a number of the deligates, more than once African men commented to me that Russia was first foreign travel as government official for their government or university where when approaching whites they did not cliinch their grip on their briefcase o purse, or where the strangers white eyes did no dilate, Russia was the first international travel where they were treated like they belonged there. That triggering of fear just did not happen

As a US citizen and an expat, I would agree that things are not good in US cities. I can think of many places I would rather be other than Russia however. I prefer a tropical climate. What are your long term goals? Do you have a retirement plan and are you saving anything for an emergency? How do you evaluate your risks is probably the most important question you will never answer.
@@islandhopper100 Yeah, small countries that bow to stronger countries are kinda safer and more predictable in a way, but that can be changed in the future, cuz they can be manipulated from outside especially by dollar and fear of sanctions, that is downside. You can't really make the right bet.
@@islandhopper100 Fwiw, the climate in southern Russia is comfortable. Where we live is on the same parallel as Burgundy, France and we have vineyards everywhere (which produce very good quality wine these days).

In Central Russia this is normal weather every year. Usually it gets colder for a week, sometimes with snow. Russians call it “Bird cherry cold” (bird cherry and lilac bloom at this time). After these days the May heat sets in. 💯
I haven't read the comments yet. It's really good to watch your channel because there are not many people who have logical thinking. I think it doesn't matter which nationaly you are and where you live as long as you understand the common sense and have positive personality. Then you can enjoy any society and country.

Not only for conversations with natives, but also for reading some documentations and other thing. programms, games, some movies etc. with chines btw also easier to speak on english ))) both languages is very difficult to learn. so... yes. english is very usefull even in this hard time. many russian people know english like me, but they also like me didnt have any good practice, because we didnt have enough native speakers around.
Greetings from North Carolina. Our weather is similar to Georgia's and I've not seen snow stay on the ground all day since 2015. Being from Europe at a similar latitude as to when I lived in Canada - the cold is one thing I don't miss, but if I had the chance to re-locate to Russia I would grab the oportunity with both hands, snow or no snow. :)

Я думаю, что скажу за всех адекватных россиян, что мы рады всем адекватным эмигрантам, которые работают, платят налоги, живут по закону. Hello, Stephen. I like your videos and the perspective of my country that you provide. It is interesting to hear the reasoning and the opinion of the people that have decided to make the move despite all the geopolitical noise in the media. One thing that I've noticed though is that the image in your videos is mirrored. You can easily fix this in almost any video editing program - just go to the pan/crop settings which it is usually represented by a frame-shaped rectangle over the actual image of the footage, right click it and choose 'flip horizontally'. Also, I don't know exactly what you are filming with and why it can be mirrored, but - assuming that you're filming with a phone - it would probably be a good idea to switch to the phone's main camera instead of using the selfie one. Main cameras often provide better quality and non-mirrored footage. You could also consider rendering the videos to 1440p or 2K resolution even if it means up-scaling the original footage. For quite some time now, RU-vid has been providing way worser quality for resolutions starting from 1080p and lower. It will take more time to render and upload, but even the 1080 down-scaled from 1440p by YT should look better than a 1080 that you have uploaded by yourself. I hope that it helps. Thanks, I rendered this one to 1040 because that's the default setting in my software (UpShot for iOS) but later videos using the front-facing cameras I have been rendering and uploading in 4K. I figure videos of just me, and not scenery, don't need high resolution. And Odinstovo really isn't much to look at, to be honest.))
You should try to visit Krasnodar, this is the most blessed place in Russia, a real paradise on earth. The food that is produced there will just blow your mind! And there is almost no winter there and the Black Sea is nearby. If you find the time, be sure to go there and be amazed.

You're right, Russia has a huge variety of delicious bread made from a wide variety of flours. But there is one disadvantage - it is easy to gain weight by eating bread)
You can bring any amount of money, not only $10,000. If you bring more than $10,000 you need to declare it. No taxes, no other consequences, just declaration. If you bring more than $100,000 you need some kind of paper that explains where the money came from.

Х When my parents were 25 years old (1975), they went to a city in the north of the USSR country. Dad was offered a job at the new plant. All young people were given rooms in a dormitory, and young families were given rooms in a communal apartment. This is when there is one apartment, one kitchen, one bathroom and toilet. And there are several rooms. And families live there, 2 people per room. When I was born, my parents were given this apartment (2 rooms, kitchen, toilet and bathroom) completely at their disposal A family without children who lived in the room with them was given other housing. Since my dad worked at a factory, they gave me a free kindergarten. And my mother started working there. The kindergarten belonged to this plant. All apartments given to people for free in the USSR, after the collapse of the union, could be taken into ownership after privatization and sold, for example. Before this, it was impossible to sell apartments in the USSR, only to exchange them for another in any city. It was possible to exchange a 2-room apartment for 2 one-room apartments. Etc.
На самом деле именно в Советском Союзе давали жилье бесплатно, но также было и кооперативное жилье, за которое люди платили. В современной России жилье бесплатно дают сиротам, выросшим в детских домах и тем людям, которые живут в ветхих домах и нуждаются в расселении жилья. Возможно многодетным семьям также положено бесплатное жилье, но это надо уточнить. Остальное жилье стоит денег, теперь мы живем при капитализме, хотя Россия достаточно социальное государство, которое заботится о своих гражданах.
@@elenka472у нас в медицине сейчас дают жильё которое больница купила для своих сотрудников, но только как временное. Не в собственность. Или оплачивают съём квартиры.
Есть программа "Земский доктор" и "Земский учитель". Программа направлена на привлечение докторов и учителей на работу в школах и больницах (фельдшерских пунктах) сельской местности. Для этого врачам и учителям предоставляют бесплатное жильё (дом или квартиру), при условии работы в данной школе или медицинском пункте в течение 5 лет это жильё переходит в собственность врача/учителя. Сейчас уже большой конкурс на эти места. Школы обновляются, строятся новые. Больницы и медицинские пункты тоже обновляются. Кроме того, кажется, в этой программе ещё упоминается сумма денег от 500 000 рублей (но раньше это было на приобретение жилья, если не хотят жить в старом деревенском доме или для помощи начинающим учителям или врачам). Probably it is. All the foreigners I know who are living in Russia, they do speak the local language. Especially if you're not living in Moscow (obviously people in Moscow do speak more English than people from small towns outside of Moscow)

22:00 - налог на доход да, 13%. Но важно ещё учитывать налог на имущество, например на квартиру. Какой налог на имущество в США? "Ставка за жилые помещения, доли недвижимости, гаражи и машино-места стандартно составляет 0,1% от кадастровой стоимости. Налог на офисные помещения, помещения в торговых центрах и любую недвижимость дороже 300 млн рублей рассчитывается по ставке 2%" за 4 комнатную квартиру мы платим чёто около 10к рублей в год, там всякие хитрые вычисления короче
Налог на имущество в виде квартиры не все платят. Например, пенсионеры не платят, если эта квартира единственная и используется для проживания пенсионера. Если есть еще одна квартира (например, досталась по наследству от родителей), тогда эта вторая квартира облагается налогом.
@@Olga_Msk ну и для честноты еще надо упомянуть что с ЗП удерживается процент в пользу медицины и пенсии. И по этому для прям сравнения в лоб из Американской ЗП тоже надо вычесть расходы на мед страховку. ну шоб честно было. И да тут всё с обязательными налогами-расходами всё совсем не в пользу США. там на недвижку не 0.1% а 1-3%
@@gewalt9585 Не придумывайте. ИЗ ЗАРПЛАТЫ у работника удерживается только налог НДФЛ. То есть сумма работнику на руки = сумма зарплаты по трудовому договору - налог НДФЛ 13%. Работодатель выступает в роли налогового агента. Все социальные налоги и сборы начисляются работодателем НА ЗАРПЛАТУ (т.е. начисленная сумма никак не влияет на сумму зарплаты по трудовому договору и ни на копейку ее не уменьшает) и именно работодатель, а не работник, является налогоплательщиком. Не повторяйте мне бредни диванных ыкспердтов. Я с налогами и сборами туеву хучу лет работаю.

Константин, на всякий случай, напишу вам: в России принята "Программа по переселению соотечественников в Россию 2024". Нужно обратиться в Российское Посольство и подать заявку на участие в Программе. Если у вас нет паспорта РФ, то получите его автоматически по приезду в Россию. Можно взять с собой иностранных родственников, но они получат только Вид на жительство. Для получения гражданства им нужно будет сдать тесты по русскому языку, основам истории и права.

А на счет демократии могу сказать свою мысль: Демократия в демократических странах закончилась с развалом СССР. Обьясняю: Раньше системы соперничали друг с другом. От этого соперничества пошли профсоюзы и прочие уступки капиталистов. После развала весь мир состоит из капиталистов и не существует противовеса который мог бы соперничать. P.S. В нашей стране (Россия) точно такая же ситуация в политическом плане. Мы все прекрасно знаем кого выберут, знаем как подделают выборы. Но мы живем примерно одинаково, вне зависимости от времени и большая часть населения в целом не против такого состояния вещей (ведь могло быть и хуже). Пара моментов которые напрягают, это удорожание недвижимости и автомобилей в два раза (я плачу за ипотеку 37 тысяч рублей, что примерно 360 долларов, за квартиру в 40 квадратов. Мой доход от 50 до 100 тысяч рублей). С остальным вполне просто справиться. P.S. 2 Когда писал комментарий, специально подбирал переводимые на английский язык слова.

This year is very different in terms of weather. Even warm regions of Russia suffer from snow now. I saw a video with frozen apple flowers, so we probably will not have apples this year from that region.
it depends ... self employed tax is 3% as I remember... if you have small business you register self entrepreneur company and it`s 6% tax... but if your turnover is big you register LLC working with VAT tax in this case taxes are much higher

Forget about it. All _stans are now under heavy Turkish influence which historically always was hostile to Russia. There will be conflicts in future because these _stans are located between China, Russia and Turkey and they aiming for consuming/dissolving Russian culture and reducing it to their level which guarantees global chaos. Russia and China will be fighting against this threat and Turkish/west influence increasing radical Islamism in these lands and that will lead to wars and massive forceful migrations of people into Middle East/Africa/India.

Arriving in Chicago you need to fill out a 6059b questionnaire at border security one of the questions is Country of Residence I'm a permanent resident of Russia has this caused any issues with the TSA? They don't. Cultivation happens in spring, the crops grow in summer, and harvest happens during the fall. You can grow some crops that don't naturally grow here, in greenhouses.
Никак. Земля отдыхает, всё замёрзло. В старину - сидели в деревянном доме, плели лапти (обувь из берёзовой коры), мастерили одежду, заготавливали дрова, собирали хворост в лесу, пели песни. В южных регионах зима короткая - около 2 недель снега или даже нескольких дней, потом снова - пахать и сеять. (Ставропольский, Краснодарский край и др.)
