We put our products to the test. Can our Aisin AS69RC transmission hold up to the tortures of one of Moab’s notorious trails? Will the rest of the truck hold up? Randys-transmissions.com
Not going to lie, if I saw this monster on a trail that difficult I'd probably be cracking jokes about the driver being lost - right up until it crushed an obstacle. Really impressive rig and driving.
We passed you guys that day on bikes wondering “what the Hell is that thing doing up here!!?” Great video! So much respect for making it all the way. Pritchett is a bitch!!! Video still doesn’t do it full justice. Nice work!!!
The fact that he Floored it multiple times after he bent the drive shaft and the fact that the drive shaft did not explode is mind blowing by itself. holy Molly is that a Mopar drive shaft or is that a custom one?
@@Randys-transmissions damn!! What brand universal joints did you go with Spicer? Also I called to have you guys install a grizzly locker in my truck but apparently you don't actually have people to do that you're trying to hire a few guys.
This is one of the coolest vids I’ve ever seen. Nothing like smashing all those people that say “diesels can’t off-road”. Well…how about a fricken dually crew cab long box then?! Also, normally I’d say the music is too much…but for this kinda video it’s perfect 👍
@@johnhenry3536why? What are you, Greta’s dad? A jeeper? Or worse yet…a hiker who thinks the only way to experience the countryside is “using the quads that god gave you” which is ironically a bumper sticker on the vehicle you used to access the trailheads? GFC
Unfortunately, the main feature of this production is the loud, screeching "music," especially during the first half. Make it a background track if you must, but holy cow. Let the actual on-site audio tell the story.
If stellantis doesn't send yall something for this ad idk what. But I've always wondered if the 9.25 am diff was strong and you guys definitely proved it's not bullet proof. But this is an extreme test and it survived!
Watching this while looking at my 06 long bed 4 door dually that gets stuck in the yard on a moist day is damn impressive 💪😁 damn it Randy now I'm going to have to start spending money.....thanks a lot 😆😆😆
Wow, my respect for the driver, mechanics, spotters and the whole crew. Making that monster go through that is annother level of insanity. BTW would you mind posting the mods and parts on the truck? Thanks a lot!
Once again like I said before Dodge is the only real Truck out there are you watching big boy Dodge climbing up that canyon! I just love ❤️ it Dodge!!!
damn dodge really beefed up their driveshafts, if it was a second gen that driveshaft would be toast, also this is a really good marketing stunt showing off your work by catching everyones attention by making something that should never be a rock crawer, into a beast of a rock crawer
Duallys are usually not very good in sand or mud because the front tires do not line up with the rears and you end up plowing almost 3 separate tracks rather than following in a single set of ruts. However on slick rock like this, the added contact patch of a dually provides great traction and ruts obviously aren't an issue. You can check out @trail mater for some more dually rock crawling!
"tRuCkS aRE UsELeSs THeY cANt whEeL" The only reason trucks can't wheel is because all the dorky Jeepsexuals who run the clubs and build the trails refuse to cut tiny trees down so they can make 5 foot wide passages as "obstacles" literally just to gatekeep trails for jeeps and sidekicks 😂 bunch of dorks. Anyways , props to all you guys at Randy's or whoever built this truck. Awesome to see people take a big truck where others are too scared too.
Who could have guessed they wouldn't make it the whole way without breaking and getting stuck a few times. That trail is NO JOKE! Done it twice, you need your shit on point to have a smooth go at it. Bravo for trying, hopefully you let the Jeeps go by that were stuck behind when yous broke.
I wish I could afford a Cummins so bad. I miss my Dodge Dakota with the V8 5 speed manual transmission. I always wanted to make it into a Cummins. But can never catch up with bills. One day I wanna shoot a video like this for sure.
Very cool to watch, I won’t lie I wouldn’t never take my ram into anything close to this. But you have the Gigglepin Badlands winch so all is good! Keep it up! Don’t build it much or it won’t be cool.
I wonder why they chose a Ram instead of an F350 or even F450. Since it has a Carli suspension setup, stock suspension surely couldn’t be the reason I assume. I’ve also heard Rams don’t have good throttle control while off-roading, so that makes me question the decision even more.
Je te regarde depuis la France et je suis impressionné! Pour nous ici c'est vraiment inimaginable. Comment avez vous réussi à trouver un axe de transmission sur place?
Great job getting that thing through there. Almost made it!! Well technically you did. Little less skinny pedal I believe and you would not have broken.
