Imagine at 6:00 passing a heavily off road modified Jeep Wrangler on that path with an old, bone stock Toyota Hilux carrying a literal pallet of cinder blocks .
Whrn I was in Syria, we had two hiluxes. We literally had 6 people in the cab and 8 people in the back... on top of hundreds of pounds if ammo, guns, and explosives. Drove that thing from Şaddadî to Raqqa with the suspension fully compressed. Greatest truck in the world.
To be honest, I was not really expecting this level pf durability, even though I have seen what Topgear have done to the Hilux. This will definitely be one of the most celebrated cars in the hiatory of automobiles, and one that does not cost a million bucks a pop!
It will be, except Car manufacturers finally release the old cars again. Sadly EU laws and US laws will never let this happen. Fucking useless politicians, always taking the fun and reliability from us.
Hello friends! This is the only time we can talk now that I had to stop using instagram since they want to delete literally EVERYTHING I post and ban me from the search bar :) Wanna know something cool about them since they can't delete it here? They deleted several of my posts for 100% no reason whatsoever. Just said "your content violates our guidelines." Unfortunately the money I made on instagram was used to feed my dog..... so you can imagine how sick and hungry she is now. Instagram could kill my dog. sad I know
This was a very thorough look at the durability of this truck. Much respect for you and actually doing some of these tests, even though some were a bit dangerous. Awesome video!
All JDM cars have gone up 10 fold world wide and in USA as all the deep pockets are craving for the JDM cars. But if ya the shit Government rules were better they would of had these from the start like Australia and NZ and decent octane petrol.
I started cracking up at the beginning when he was wide open and the horn was randomly beeping because you know he was getting tossed around in there like a rag doll 🤣
Here in Brazil, we use and appreciate the reliability of the Toyota Hilux! Widely used in heavy work and for touring, it has good resale and "cheap" maintenance considering the price and size of the pick up.
@@testittim8200 it is definitely not a 1 ton truck. Its defined as a mid sized pickup truck in the US even tho its been made for the Japanese market. A 1 ton truck often has dually in the rear.
losing grip in the corner at 10:20 looked so fucking sketchy man 😂😂 you can tell for a split second he saw a vision of himself being wrapped around that tree
@@alexanderrosales7675 LMAO fr. The backstory for that name is crazy as hell too. The Libyan Army tried to march down the country of Chad but the local rebels there managed to outmaneuver the Libyan forces and destroy almost all their tanks using only Toyota Hiluxes.
Every true Toyota fan like myself know you just cannot kill a Hilux without a whole lot of fighting... If it can last in Africa it can last anywhere...
Own a surf (mechanically a hilux but its just fancy) myself, I found that he took it rather easy. Considering he didn't torch it or drive it through salt water.
patagucci Lol watching them roll across the desert stupidly overloaded with all sorts of light artillery in the back, is what made me fall in love with Hiluxs. I saw one drive away after taking a TOW missile.
Jd power awards have always been a joke. Sure they include a lot of good cars, but look at how many cars that are/turned out to be absolute shit boxes theyve included over the years.
Just a thought top gear was astonished by the trucks ability to start and drive after all the torture it had endured by that time it didn't even really have doors let alone working handles 😅 but great vid bro
It took a pallet of cinderblocks like a champ. Also pre-running across your field with the cinderblocks in the bed flying out as you hit air has to be one of 2021 youtube's highlights
@@sports94freak If you're working for WhistlinDiesel you do _not_ want to get fired, you wouldn't complain about shit. Paid well and get to do all this crazy shit.
Can't wait for the psycward episode where he's locked in a room rocking back and forth muttering that he couldn't break the toyota while being haunted in his sleep with the sound of a running toyota engine LMAO
@@Alex-rl4uy ok better theory he will brake it but that motor will keep on running unless he actually does somthing to distroy it ( taking oil out and running it shooting it exc)
What if he flip the truck!! Toyota are know to flip on it’s side or roll!! Point is this guy does not appreciate what he has this truck! Is nice what a weirdo!!
@@ISAELVIS1 then he would just flip it back over with the 'fork' /skidloader and carry on as he was. Lol and it WAS nice...not so much anymore, but I'm sure it wouldn't be too affected from rolling.
As a hilux lover, it was emotionally draining to see such a beautiful piece of machinery getting so much beating but feeling proud that it was always coming out of the test with flying colors.
i got a 2016 hilux, they used it in a mine for 3,5yrs cause nothing else would survive there, except maybe a land cruiser. I bought it for 20k and beat the living shit out of it every day and its all fine. They still tough
Most of the Toyota here in new York have horrible frame rot. So to us, it's not all that it is cracked up to be. But this old girl, she got some strong bones.
From 4:10 to 4:40, and aside of the watery parts, I have been doing more or less the same driving on almost daily basis to my Sierra HD2500 2013 with no issues so far!. I even once did the same thing with 2.5 ton payload of cement bags and the beast didn't even complain.
Same as the squarebody video Both're genuinely impressive with how much longer these two can withstand his mayhem than the pavement princessess lol Living up to their reputations
@@BulkBrogan. I love the old squares my father had many of them he also had an 82 Toyota pickup that I grew up in. Nothing, I mean nothing compares to a Toyota mini truck. Any of them.
@@shornandkenny l know the toyota wins I was just refrencing the squarebody video as another truck that took him longer than usual to break and was genuinely impressive lmao Although this toyota was the only one that mad him visibly frustrated and suprised by not breaking
@@BulkBrogan. oh ya I know, your all good. I love them all, I'm type of dude who likes harleys and crotch rockets, kubotas and john deers, and Toyotas and chevs and fords. Although my dads 07 f250 was the worst truck we ever had lol. Cheers man, stay safe in this carapp time were living in. That square body took a nice beating but so did the blue ford. Logs lol....... ouch
