Elamkunnapuzha Sree Subrahmanya Swami Temple is located at Elamkunnapuzha on the Vypin - Munambam road in Ernakulam district, Kerala. The 10-day annual festival in the shrine is observed in such a way that it ends with arattu on Karthika nakshatra in Vrischika month.
The upper part of the murti of Subrahmanya in the shrine is made of Panchaloha and the down part is made of black stone (Krishna shila). The murti is nearly 6 feet tall and it faces east.
This is a typical Kerala style temple with chuttambalam, namaskara mandapam, kodimaram, and two storey chathura sreekovil. There are also shrines of upa devatas.
IT IS A VERY OLD TEMPLE,VERY VERY IMPORTANT PLACE. IN VYPIN.
