Hi Bob, sorry to hear about your health issues, glad you're back again. Just want to say how much i enjoy your videos, i'm currently building a Sand Scorcher and have gained some great knowledge and ideas from you. Please keep the videos coming, like you i have a few projects on the go including my first 1/14th truck build. All the best, Lee
I'm sorry to hear you were out due to heart problems. Glad you are back and feeling good enough to continue your passion. The build turned out amazing as always! You are truly an artist when building these kits. I enjoy watching all your builds and am currently going through your older videos. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. I for one really appreciate all your time and hard work that goes into making these videos!
Looks awesome, Tamiya always did great bodies. I wish I could get my hands on one of their semi cabs. These old rigs truly are rc models. Before bashers were even a thing, ha
My first vehicle was a 1965 VW Bug . Your VW build was absolutely beautiful !!! You're a Top notch builder hands down ! Your attention to detail always takes your builds over the top ! Thank you so much for your videos and teaching us your techniques!!! Always took forward for a new build. Thanks again and God bless!!! 👍👍👍🙏😀
sorry to hear about your health scare BOB .........really happy to hear all is well... i have watched every video since day one it's always a treat to watch your builds ...always a well informed professional job done ... thanks for sharing your builds with us they are always worth the wait .....I cant wait to get back to the HEMTT build have a great night BOB
Awsome build, well done. Maybe you could add some links or other to show where future Baha builders can find all the 'extra' parts you used on this build. That would be much appreciated. regards, Marc
This series was complete when I discovered it. Very enjoyable to watch. I've always been partial to VW Bugs, and plan on building one in the future. Thanks for your modeling tips and ideas.
Really enjoy your content I'm catching up on back episodes. My only critique is the passenger side flag is mounted wrong, the field of stars are always in the forward direction.
Great build, been following, love your Hemmet trailer build as well, sorry to hear about your problems and glad your on the mend. All the best from a grey Liverpool.
Looks great!! What I did myself on several cars in the past is use a piece of fine bug screen to act as netting. Looks good to me. And the type I used had all strands covered with plastic coating (from the factory) that made it not falling apart when cut to a small patch
New sub from the UK. Beautiful build Sir. This was my first RC model way back in the early 80's. I now need another lol. Wishing you a healthy 2020 and hope your health continues to improve. Been there myself, only recently needing a shock due to AF. All the best and thanks for a great series on the Baja 👊🏼😎
Thank you for putting up such a wonderful series of videos. It's not often that we see scratch building mods for RC cars. Love the detailing. Can you please share which tamiya shock spring part you used for the rear suspension? Thank you.
Wow Bob! It was a real pleasure to watch your skills, expertize and good taste in action on this model! I do like the way you approach each of your projects just considering the best solutions without further budgets considerations, and sometime you also get to the results by just pure ingenuity and cheap materials. You're not just a wonderful 'scaler' but you build and assemble some perfectly working RCs I still wish you should add a cue and let us see them running... ;) I'm happy to learn the stint is working well for you too. About your Baja (that I love) I was expecting you to put some carbon fiber adhesive on the rear plate too: did you cover the steering servo? Have you thought of using the adhesive films they use on real cars and motorbikes? Maybe you should add a large rubber net on the side and rear windows: I've found some materials they use on floors under carpets or I can't really say where, that is a soft net with 5mm squares (possibly there are different measures) that should let you see through and painted in black just add some racing style to the car. Why not put a drop of clear epoxy on the speedometer? And adding a couple of other instruments would be nice... Have you found a pilot worth to occupy its seat? About the cheap light system I really would like to know in detail what you figured out about its convoluted connections and how did you make the brakes work (although there are no permanent tail lights, isn't it?)... Best Wishes Cheers
Thanks! I did a separate video on the lights here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-85woXq-5OGg.html Never did much more with the driver figure but would love to find really nice drivers without having to build them :-)
@@HobbyconceptsLLC Thanks Bob! Indeed you already had a video on those lights: still it is really messy trying to find the logic of the connectors on those boxes. 8) I've seen a 'post apocalypse' sand scorcher video here that has what appears to be a perfectly scaled figure, although its appearances are those of the Mad Max world: just to say I believe you can find some figures that will fit behind the wheel. But you should at least clean them a bit... Cheers
Fun build, came out looking great! If I may, would love to know your thoughts on the results. How is the handling with those Blackfoot shocks? Does it seem top-heavy with the metal rack (given no differential)? Anything you'd do differently?
Hi Bob, glad to see you back. The Bug turned out great!! What glue do you recommend to bond styrene to the Tamiya body plastic (not sure what type of plastic it is)? Thanks -- looking forward to your next series.
