Thank you Mike, this was amazing. I loved how, after being through some stages of weathering, you changed the whole thing with the q-tip and blending of different, more greenish hues, it gave so much more depth to the model. You are right in that these small models can be a great training tool - I'd say the same goes with some Sci-Fi models, like the WH40k armour, where you are even more free to experiment and test similar techniques to your heart's content 🙂. There’s a lot you can do with detailing on these models. Every stowage box, even in this scale, can be a model in itself if you put in the hours. This is super cool!
They're a great canvas, someone just needs to print new track/road wheels sets and these are potential game changers...wait til you see the JS-2 coming up
I’ve been working on a full interior T72 in 1:100 using CAD. Got the proper suspension milling files and converted them to be printable in scale. With modern printers you can get 35th detail in any size.
