VERY cool option to the Über expensive RC4WD!! Sneak some Carbon Fiber or even Steel underneath, and it should carry an impressive load. 😉 Thank you for carrying this in your Store!! 👍👍 Makes getting one so much easier.
I agree on the flex of a trailer. I am "exploring beefing up the "neck" and automating it and getting a little more lift from the neck. This is a realy nice trailer all in all. and my tractor is a wedico so it is 1/16 scale.
Bob, I have a wedico 1/16 truck. I bought one of those month ago and have been working on beefing it up. That is why I bought the Beier stuff from you.
I put 20 lbs on the trailer, without the neck. The springs on the suspention bottomed out but the deck did not flex much. I have taken the neck apart so I could not attach it.
I often hauled oversize and over dimensional freight on what is referred to as an RGN or Removable Goose Neck lowboy trailer. I recall picking up a transformer in Massachusetts and hauling it to Midwest City, Oklahoma. That lead was 102k pounds including my semi truck that was 4 axles the trailer was another 4 in itself. That trailer was never more than an inch p off of the ground. Talk about exilerating😂
That's a nice lowboy for my Fatfox I've been looking for 1 that isn't $900 because my Tamiya Hauler collection is a GH, KH, Fatfox & a box trailer this fits the bill for a race team trailer, thank's for sharing Bob 😉👍🚛
@@HobbyconceptsLLC so I'm doing the same livery on all 3 trucks TS-29 with the brown & white stripes on GH, KH & PS-5 with same stripes & some sponsor stickers on the Fatfox, the box trailer will have all the DOT LED's I'll order from you with a custom vinal wrap I'm getting designed I'll post the trucks on my Instagram when they're finnished whenever that happens lol 😉👍
I think it kind of looks cheap. I feel like a flat clear coat would take the toy look away. Or some really good weathering. Definitely a good option for the price.
It's kind of maddening that rc tanks are 1/16 scale a lot of the time. There are tons of 1/16 scale military rigs. But finding a full-function lowboy and semi in 1/16 just keep evading me. I'd like this trailer, if, I was willing to completely re-do the axles, suspension, re-wire the servos for regular use, and add another (or a small pair of) servos to articulate the ramps. I'd also want lights, and a bit of an extension. While extending it, I would also need to bolster up it's weight capacity, because even my cheaper rc tank (still a lot of metal) weighs around 15 pounds. I'd like a trailer ballsy enough to carry 2 tanks. AND be in 1/16 scale. I know, I'm asking a lot. Thank you for this video, really answered a lot of questions I had. I like DCM, but they focus more on looks than functionality, and that's backwards from my thinking. To each his own I suppose. Keep up the great work!! Nice rc's!!
Kinda reminds me of the Ertl lowboy I pulled behind my grand hauler yrs back. Heck I only payed like $80 dollars for the Ertl trailer and a day hauler. Now that’s only to go for the look. It definitely wouldn’t haul my heavy equipment
I was looking for something for my 336gc But it's double the weight of the excavator you placed on the trailer And it was bending in the middle Thanks for the video I'll look into something metal
For me the quality is not in question, that could be beefed up and modded/customised easy.its a nice item BUT to me it looks underscale. mainly in width even when unloaded, think the wheels look under to but not as bad as the width. just my opinion.
I mean, it's certainly better scaled than any tamiya trailer. The flat bed trailer for the king hauler is insultingly short so this, while not being 100% is still 100% better than the official tamiya stuff.
Also can the cabs work in softer semi muddy conditions i got a levee projecg going and these r/cs would help alot more then my own garden tools can cause of the small scale of it im fixing a neighbor's pond's runoff thats coming in my yard
I have a question what type of kingpin is on these trailers and are these cabs not nessicarially compatable but capable of locking in a nail/screw style kingpin and what would i need to measure to know
The Cascadia will tow it fine. I don't think it would sit on the deck as it has a lot of nose overhang but I do not have one here to try. The flat deck is 20 3/4" long.
i just got this [ trailer only ] and the goose neck is in the upper position....any way to get it down? i think i'm going to have to take it apart.....
Hello Bob , do you know when you will try to get the controls on this trailer figured out so we can use them with the Tamiya trucks? Now I did have one of these trailers with the diecast masters western star tri axle truck , so I have used it with the normal controls and know all of its functions , and it does have lights and turn signals and 4 ways , also as you know it raises and lowers. If I beat you to it , I will share with you what I figure out , I did purchase another one for my king hauler and it will be here tomorrow, thanks you! Keep up the great content!!
Man that’s awesome! Does it measure out to true 1/16? I build off brand 1/16 semis using wpl parts. I’ve used the die cast master semi but haven’t seen this trailer. I gotta get one of these!
@@HobbyconceptsLLC I want to get into 1/14 cause I love them. But they’re so darn expensive. Maybe they’ll be a holiday special this year. I’ll get one then piece it up little by little. You build some nice looking rigs.
@@colossalbigfoot256 I've been working on mine for well over a year and though it's far from done. I was able to drive it around this past weekend. I will share that parting one together will cost you more in the long run. But I understand how you feel.
I have a couple of Tamiya semi trucks and I always thought that the trailers were too short. I could only imagine what the Tamiya semi trucks would look like if they had done them in 1/10th scale. Definitely would have loved to have seen that.🙂
Not my choice . It looks out of scale and very toylike. I would safe up some more money to get a lot better trailer instead of getting a (still rather expensive at 250 dollar) trailer that just isn't it .
