In this video we'll be covering a complete breakdown of every Bastion Remnant in Minecraft. That includes chest generation, gold generation, Piglin Brutes and even quartz blocks for some reason.
I will explain everything I've learnt since 1.16 when Bastions got added and Piglin Brutes in 1.16.2.

Thank you everyone for 10k views! I really did not expect that. It seems that the more effort I put into a video, the better it is. Who would've thought 🤔 It took me hundreds of hours practicing Bastions and one and a half months for the video alone. I'm planning the Trial Chambers next, but I'll start on the project once the first release candidate drops. Hopefully I won't get burnout on the project. Love you all 💜

You clearly have a very good understanding of bastions and I appreciate you making content like this for newer players such as myself but you haven't done so in a particularly friendly manner for new players. For example at 19:40 the start of the Housing Bastion and you start it off by saying starting at this block facing a wall which looks like every single wall in the entire bastion. A guide starting from the outside and doing a full explanatory run would be much easier imo

Fun fact… on bedrock at least, you can shoot piglins with a rocket crossbow and there is no agro… from the pig you hit or any of his friends…I don’t think you get xp either… but 8 minutes of invisibility and a rocket crossbow is the way to go if you want to clear the brutes out safely…

That's very interesting. I have almost no knowledge about Bedrock, but I do know some niche stuff here and there. I do envy the Wither boss mechanics though :)

just finished learning 60% of all the keyfour bastion videos and watching your video help me a lot with how to deal with brute . may I ask why some rsg run on yt has no brute ? is there a version difference which affect brute spawn ?

That is because speedruns are in 1.16.1 where Piglin Brutes were not implemented yet and bartering with Piglins had a better chance to give ender pearls.

Ive been working my way to raiding a bastion and just haven't got the guts to do it yet but this video will help so much! Ill return to this comment when i have the Smithing template:)

@@Johnden i have done it! I got lucky and got two smithing templates after rading a housing and a bridge. Didnt even need to go to the Treasure. Nice little surprise since i thought it was only possible to get the smithing template at treasure. i now have full netherite armor and tools, Thank God you can dupe them

@@league6767 Should've included the chest loot. In treasure it's guaranteed while in the other chests it's a 10% chance to find one. In any case, congratulations on beating one of the hardest things in the Nether.

@@Johndenchest loot was about 25 gold blocks, a silk touch diamond pick, about 40 nether quartz blocks, a few stacks of arrows, 30 magma cream, 14 crying obsidian, 30 obsidian, 20 iron blocks, 24 bone blocks, some chains and the Netherite smithing templates

I like the fear the brutes give me, so I just fight off everyone until they’re dead, regardless of agitating the piglins

Ancient cities aren’t that complicated as Bastions, but I do have a couple of tips on it. Many people have more trouble finding them than looting them. I could answer it here, but am unsure if I will make a video about it. But I might do the upcoming Trial Chambers.

Is there anything to be known about getting gilded blackstone? I have a build I rly like that requires a lot of it and thats the main reason i go to bastions

From what I've gathered based on functionality of Jigsaw blocks, there's a thing called the processor list. It basically first generates the bastion as it is from templates and then gets processed with things like cracked blackstone, gilded blackstone or air. This makes the bastions look unique and randomized looking. From what I know the amount of gilded blackstone is random.

I just pillut away and hit them with my sword like build a bridge and hit them from across I also tunnel and only get the treasure chest and gold

These only have chance to generate. So you get 0-3 gold blocks

There will be Trial Chambers next as that’s the next new structure for 1.21. For other structures I might put them together into one video, because there aren’t many stuff hidden in the walls or would result in a very short video. What other structures would you recommend?
