1: 20 Scale Mini Hydroplane Wood Kit Build Series Pt3 Weight distribution & sponson/ridepad Skinning
In this video series we're gonna build the 1:20 Mini Hydroplane Atlas vans All-wood laser cut kit. My first all Wood Kit, so bare with me. This kit was designed by Dr. Jet Based on the 1/16 Scale Plans by Garry Finlay.
I'm working on weight distribution trying to keep the boat light weight, but at the same time I want this boat to be fast as possible, within reason. Skinning the sponsons and working on the ride pads prepping the boat up for epoxy.
What a beautiful kit well made and kinda rare. Same process/ procedure can be used on most any wood kit build.
