One of the sexiest Porsches I've ever seen. Beyond amazing craftsmanship! Wherever that ends up, they should be very proud to have it in their collection.
I have drooled over this 935 on 3 different occasions at the Petersen museum in L.A. The first time I came across it I spent for literal hours looking it over. Luckily the 3rd time I took 100s of photos of every detail. Your video and skill makes this kit look so good! This with the detail set will be my winter project.
Incredible work mate, true craftsman! My tool collection is growing after watching your videos (just picked up a new scriber and seam scraper from your bodywork video). Excited for your next build 👍🏻
Awesome build, like always! The details you added are crazy. Working lights would take it to next level.... With the right camera angle nobody could see any difference between your models and a real car. Truly amazing!
Excellent video and a real inspiration. I just bought this kit with the detail up set. But I also got some S.K 1980 rear fenders and S.K decal sheet for the Apple Computers livery.
Just fabulous! Subscribed. This car is on the cover of my book signed for me by Peter Falk at Silverstone. Put that beautiful car straight in to a display cabinet😉
Your attention to details is unbelievable! I understand each builder has his/her own style, but can you explain the reason you apply the decals directly on the base coat? I'm using Zero Paints with TABU decals and some friends said I should put a gloss coat between those two. In your opinion, is it necessary?
thanks for comment. my reason is time to build. i do not see neccesary to put a gloss coat before decal, especially if there are no transparent parts on the decals. Even if the decal is transparent, I try to weld it well to avoid silvering.
Great work - the car won Le Mans not just because Klaus Ludwig did most of the driving, also when the car pulled in trackside because it had mechanical issues, a mechanic threw over a pack of sandwich to Ludwig which hid some toolset (which was illegal under regulations) Name of the car should be ‘Kremer 935 K3’ - it was never officially a Porsche project, all they did was to sell the 930 bodies and engines to Kremer
Thanks Danny, glad we have the same taste in music. This is one of my favourite tracks Boards of Canada, check here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JvvfLPytoNQ.html
Absolutely beautiful build. Can I ask what the purpose of that seam scraper was at the beginning? Were there mold lines around the recesses for the windows or was it just to make them fit better?
This is amazing - I'm considering doing this kit but one element concerns me. Once you opened the vents up, then applied the one piece black/red/orange decal over them, how did you go about creating the openings in the decal for the vents? It seems like the decal would be so fragile once placed over the openings. Did you just place the decal, let it dry a bit, and then carefully cut it with a knife for each opening? I'm considering getting this kit and doing the Apple Computers livery, which also has a big graphic that crosses the vents.
Hi Brian! i use marker to highlight all imperfections caused by manufacturing. Then i sand it until black color fades. That means for me that all is ok now and i can continue.
This video should be flagged immediately!! What kind of sorcery do we have going on here? This is obviously some sort of black magic folks!! ;) Dang dude, good job!
