1/35 Afghanistan Diorama (Realistic Scenery) - Hell in Helmand

This is my first modern era diorama depicting a fictional scene from Helmand Province in Afghanistan of British Infantrymen withdrawing to cover following a fire fight. The base materials are various insulation foams, DIY Wall filler and garden dirt and the products linked below.
Vegetation is from Diorama Presepe - www.dioramapresepe.com/en/
Grass Tufts are from Mininatur - www.mininatur.de/en/
Clear resin is Envirotex Lite - www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Envirotex-...
Black XPS foam sheets - www.ebay.co.uk/itm/THIN-CRAFT...

Incredible Ian 😯👍 What you can achieve with a few pieces of foam, the detailing & scribing on the walls looked amazing! Clever groundwork too, adding the ditch was a nice touch, can’t go wrong with a little water effects..... Great scene, top quality 🔝👏👏🙂

Very nice molto bello !!!!!!!!! Maybe it is too nice to be in Afganistan. The nature is less green there I think. Mostly sand and rocks

Thanks......I know the picture frame is 21x30cm so I guess the building is around 8x8x10cm......this one doesn't exist anymore so I can't measure it I'm afraid and it was a while ago I made it so I can't remember either 👍

the one in this video is a very cheap one from ebay which TBH is rubbish......I've recently bought a WWS Micro applicator which is superb but it wasn't cheap👍

@CW Modelling in the video just before you put the burnt umber wash on the building .the brickwork of the wall and on the building where bricks are showing,they are a different colour than deck tan

While you're diorama is making is fantastic I'm afraid I have to be negative as it looks nothing like Afghanistan too much green and the walls are all wrong they are mud built not stone. I know this as I was there for 6 months

Thanks for the reply as I said before your work is fantastic it's just you fell foul of the worst critics ex army we live and breathe it and we are the worst for factual information. But keep up the great work like the videos
