The most involved 1/35 build of 2016, learned lots of new skills and techniques. Featuring Special Forces in Afghanistan conducting a prisoner extraction.
Thank you, the guy with the prosthetic is based on a veteran from Afghanistan Nick Lavery, his story was an inspiration so had to incorporate him in the build.
Woody 5326 thank you, re the door gunner i have images on Facebook, since making LiveResin have brought out a door gunner and other crew and SP in 1/35 to go with this helicoptor, they are not cheap as resin but really good.
gunnerswat thanks, there are a mixture of 1/35 figure kits mostly reconfigured (altered) with After market parts and heads, using Evolution miniatures, liveResin, Masterbox and helicopter crew from reedoak.com (3D print) and door gunner my own sculpt. The Helicopter is the MH-60LDAP from Academy. Any other questions let me know and I will try and answer.
Vhenz Mari Rafols honestly can’t remember where I purchased as quite a while ago, it’s the MRC/Academy 1/35 AH-60L DAP with liveresin miniguns and scratch built interior. The figures are a mix of Masterbox and evolution miniatures with liveresin parts.
Hi, it’s called rotor blur effect, simulated by using a disk of clear perspex for the tail, scratched and painted to reflect the wash of air created by the turbulence of moving blades. The top rotor blades were replaced by shaped perspex, weathered in a similar way to simulate movement.
