Construction is all but completed and I finally get to my favourite part, painting! I also make a start on the display base and show what 3D printed items I am adding to this display.

Looks great. I didn't realize the value of those AK mottling templates until I tried one. Now I can think of only a handful of models I won't use one.

They are handy, using a piece of scourer is also does a good effect.

@beckersmodels Thanks Chris, it's a bit easier than mixing up plaster of Paris and sand/dirt. Seems to take days to dry off though.

I have built 5-6 biplane kits, and everytime I complete one I tell myself never again, never again.

They are addictive. When you start one, you're thinking why do this to yourself. And once it's rigged and done, you step back and say it was worth the effort.
