Watch my first ever 1/48 custom building video of the Tamiya Panzer IV Ausf. H late version model tank. Even with its small size, I custom built a set of detachable schurzen armour plates and also upgraded the plastic tracks to metal links. The camouflage pattern adopted my previous 1/16 Panzer IV models released few months back. Let's see how much of my signature details I could included on this tiny model tanks. Despite the scale, this tank took me quite a while to paint and to weather, so be sure not to miss any of the building stages and enjoy!

No I won't ! This is just a commission project. I do have a 1/16 Panzer III in the making and will be out hopefully next month. But working on a smaller scale once in a while would give me some stimulation and ideas in my custom works and weathering techniques. So do not worry my channel would still mainly featuring 1/16 scale or even 1/9 scale in the days to come. Thanks for watching!

The camouflage was an example for the wall papers of the 70s.

Looks pretty close to the original 16 scale, you tried to follow and the result is pretty nice. But the weathering could be not as heavy which might suit more with the 48 scale model.

Salut comme toujours le critique et facile je ne suis pas fan de cette échelle je ne la pratique pas mais le travail et la des blindés au 1/24 ce serait top aussi mais il sont rares j'ai reste au 1/35 ou 1/16 le King bonne continuation gege 62 👌😉

Comme il s'agit d'un travail de commission, 1/48 n'est vraiment pas ma préférence pour les chars modèles. J'aurais pensé que c'était facile à travailler, mais il s'est avéré qu'il était plus difficile de détailler et de résister à la petite échelle. Je pourrais essayer une échelle encore plus grande la prochaine fois comme 1/9.

at 63 1/48 bit harder lol...used to do 1/72 and 1/48 a/c....nowadays back to 1/35 lol....on my 1/35 ausf H did same...made shurzen from plasticard like you...tried ak camo putty?...its the bizz for edged camo m8....used the afv pz iv tracks on mine tam gluable rubbers ok but afv for 9 quid from hannants bargain...and workable...nice job

This 48th scale was done for a client, that size was also hard for me with shaky hands and vision issues. That’s why I mostly do 1/16 and 1/8 for cars.

Really enjoy your video. Could you please tell what the blue tool you used is? It the one with master tools on it.

Thanks! The tool was used for making parallel measurements, you can use it to make accurate offset .

I'm gonna be honest. I think it's over weathered and all the scratches are massive and out of scale. When you switch from doing 16th to 48th. Weathering doesn't translate. What you can see in 16th, you can't in 48th. I hope this comes across as being a jerk. Far from it. It's just murky looking. I hope this is just motivation to do more. Good luck.

You are probably right. I also realized it turned out quite heavily weathered based on what I did to the 16th scale. But if you look back to my 16th scale it was also quite worn out, and I had to copy those marks as requested by my client as a commission project. I guess next time I would use more sponging than stipplings in order not to over do it. Anyway thanks for your comments!
