In the previous videos comments some one mentioned DDM's fuel line is not Tygon. They are advertising it as Tygon so i will have to look into that. Either way I hope this video helps even just 1 person.
Np..glad it helped. I remember when i made it. I had gone through what seemed like hundreds of 5th scale videos but not a single one showing this kinda fix or upgrade..and even though it was a first time for me..figured sharing my experience might help someone else 👊
Great information and video. These companies could include a lot better instructions at times. I've considered getting the bigger fuel line, just couldn't imagine it making that much of a difference.
Ya i agree...imo they should all offer instuctive videos on most of these parts...but that might cause a loss of sales for some of them..so they will never do that
Great vid Slick! I just bought some parts for my NEW Rovan LT450. One of them was the fullforce fuel kit. I wanted to ask you can you provide a link to those check valves? I went on Amazon and could not find them. Any help greatly appreciated! Thanks
Thanks man..to be honest i dont know where I got it now. If you search dirtbike gas tank air vent youll fins them in alloy like that one. I ended up getting a 10 pack of the little white plastic ones eventually. They are super cheap. Type in echo weed trimmer air check valve
Luckily your air filter is on an angle not like Rovan's baja being straight out because the air filter hits these fuel lines. Not sure why Rovan doesn't move the tank grommet over .
It was a nightmare and in the end it ended up causing the gas tank to split right there so i recently replaced the tank..didnt put the lines over the barbed metal tubes..just ran them thru the grommet holes and when i added the 3rd hole for the air valve it squeezed the metal tubes tight enough..i just pushed the fuel line on about a half inch of the metal tubes inside the tank
@@ThePonyboy50 i got mine on with some coaxing. Lines were hell to get on the barbs also. Didnt see the point in using the metal clamps as they were a bigger pain.
Just my 2 cents but when you where explaining about the vent not getting pinched and said there is a tube you can use why can’t you just use that in all 3 holes wouldn’t that be cheaper and where would one find those tubes
Thats a good point..and to be honest what I was hoping might work but the way these particular grommets are laid out they wont fit back in the hole with 3 metal tubes stuck through them, they barely fit with 2. Making the hole in the tank a bit bigger to accommodate for that would be worth it though and so if I had a 3rd tube that wouldnt have taken from another trucks kit..I probably would have given it a whirl or just waitied and ordered another set
Thinking back if i didnt bring the fuel line to the top of the tube maybe when you put three in it would take up the slack that i showed in the video and fit snug and then the grommet would slide right in..maybe the 3 barbs at the top are for the grommet..which would make sense...you made a good point..next time i do one i will see about that
@@familyrcvideosds3680 ya i agree..thats what i put the plastic tube in the grommet on the vent line. Thinking about it all now..id be curious to see how 3 brass vent tubes in the grommet without the fuel line pulled all the way up would fit..next time i guess
So doesen t matter the lenght of the fuel lines? Somebody said it needs to be as long as the stock ones. But can t find the logic. So yes it doesen t matter. Whats your opinion mate
Doesnt matter the length really...that length thing comes from if it lands on its roof and for some reason isnt able to suck from the tank you have enough in the lines to get to it before it stalls out but with 5th scale you running an in tank like with a clunk filter that should follow the fuel upside down
