You guys are the two luckiest people on earth... born again, resources for traveling, a thirst for history and the truth, and able to explore the Holy Land. Thanks for sharing
ITAS ALL MADE POSSIBLE BY THE GRACE OF GOD, THEY FOLLOW JESUS QIITE LITERALY IN IS FOOTSTEPS AND GOD PROVIDES A WAY FOR THEM. LIKE YOU I TO ONE DAY HOPE TO SEE THE HOLY LAND AND MAKE PILGRIMAGE IN JESUSES FOOTSEPS. THEY TRUELY SOLD THEIR THINGS AND TOOK UP THIR CROSS TO FOLLOW HIM.
@@Thyalwaysseek So what? That doesn't rule out "history" of Jesus and His Apostles. History can include many things including the location where they lived or walked, or erected a church in their honor.
Yayyyy!!! Your back!!! I love to see you guys and to receive the raw footage of what is happening in the world of archaeology in Israel. This is awesome. Thank you guys, once again. And have a blessed Thanksgiving in Yeshua!!! ❤️🇮🇱
So glad to see you both making these sites available to us and letting the truth of GOD'S WORD be revealed even more to the hearts of those now who are desperately seeking the truth. All of these things matter, and every little piece is truly falling and fitting into place. THE LORD IS SO VERY AWESOME! Love you both Sergio and Rhoda, MARANATHA and SHALOM... ☝️🔜🌅
I am interested to knowing the extent of the writings, as well as any biblical information. As it's a Byzantine structure I don't have much hope for it. The previous video showing a Jewish Messianic church has mention of Yeshua's name. There needs to be a Greek translation of Jesus Christ in this archæology site. But Rome or middle eastern forces most likely destroyed the original building and the door. Because it would have bore the name of Jesus. Now all that remains is the renovation benefactor the one that paid for rebuild, which is fine. Would like an extensive list of text to what is found. Which appears to be two inscriptions at least.

What an amazing discovery and how blessed are we to live at a time when we are able to see it’s rediscovery unfold with our own eyes. Glory to God. Lord Jesus come SOON!!!
Wow! I love the mysteries! The searchings! The on the spot digs! The clues! This is real history, geography and archeology of the places where Jesus walked and lived. I love your exploring attitude, your excitement, your research. Thank you for taking us there with you!
I feel like a kid in a candy store when I watch your videos. It is so exciting to see the places where Jesus probably walked . I try to imagine what it looked like with Jesus there . Bless you both and please stay safe.
You said it, I feel the same way, very excited, things written in the Bible being unfold by excavation. So sorry for those who do not believe that the Bible is real things that happened . My dream is to visit Israel and walk some of these places.
The mosaic have the greek letters: ➕ENCPONOIC➕ For "EN CRONIC", meaning: "IN TIMES" GOD is ETERNAL, the 1rst and last, the Alpha & Omega, but in the Hebrew "Alfabet", He is "The Alef & Tav". and in ancient pictographic Hebrew: "The Bulls Head & the Cross" All meaning a prophecy of whom was going to be The Greatest Sacrifice of all; HIMSELF. 💔 Blood use to be a symbol of atonement, and know it is: FORGIVE TO BE FORGIVEN. So easy, with NO more sacrifices, but LOVE ONE ANOTHER. 💞

But then, why are the inscriptions on the church in Greek. Jesus was a Jew, he preached Judaism in the Jewish land and his followers were Jews. And why were the gospels written in Greek not Hebrew or Aramaic that Jesus and his disciples spoke?
We were just in Israel this past week and let me tell you we will keep going back every chance we get. History coming alive right before our eyes. Blessings!
Its beautiful thing to see the place Jesus stayed preached .That feeling that Jesus was there gives me goose bumps. He was around people its really amazing 👏
No doors? Well, I'm a Native American from the Zuni Pueblo Tribe & my people had their ceremonies in kivas. Some had no doors but an opening on the roof instead. They would go in and out with a ladder. Just a thought. Looking forward to y'all's next video. 👍👏👏👏
Just watching this truly makes me so happy. Being an Orthodox Christian, we proclaim that we are the "Original Apostolic Church". They discovered this church near the Sea of Galilee and have uncovered provable Greek mosaics dating from the 5th Century in the Byzantine Period, stating, "In the Days of our Ruler, Our Holy Father and Bishop". This language follows what we teach. So awesome! Glory to God! Evidence, not subjectivity.
Your Holy Father? Jesus "only ONE should be called Father and that is your father in Heaven." Could you please show me the verse where he changed that and said a man on earth could take his place?
First, your drone footage and video quality is always awesome. Second- I am studying Koine Greek and love seeing the studies I am doing pay off by looking at those inscriptions.
It's exciting to see the amount of progress at this site from when you first visited. I couldn't imagine getting to do a dig like that, it must be very exhilarating. Thank you for keeping us involved and up to date on the happenings there, and have a safe and blessed weekend!
I love everything about these findings. May God continue to uncover all of these monumental discoveries. SO affirming !! Thanks for documenting it ! 🙏🇨🇦 watching and learning in Canada
Goodmorning, Sergio and Rhoda, Merci beaucoup. Its WONDERFULL, just Wonderfull! Yes, the best is Yet to come.....Yeshua's, Magical miracles, are still alive and well!! Blessed loved ones. .
Sergio, is it possible that during the renovation to convert the original church into the sugar factory, that the original doors were filled in so that more suitable factory doors could be installed above the floor line, or a similar scenario? Maybe at the same time that the additional interior walls were added?
@@ronaldmachado757 At one point when I wasn't a believer I saw a lot of similarities between the two customs, and wandered off track to Buddhism. So it wouldn't suprise me if this wasn't just another similarity Unless they can find the steps. Weren't some early churches underground in Isreal??
I'm curious as to why an archaeological dig has to end for the season. Why is there a season? Why can't they just keep going all year long? I've seen all your other videos on this area so it will be very exciting to see the next one next year!
Seasonal weather conditions, staff/volunteer availability and possibly the conditions of the dig permit ... I'm on staff at a dig about 15 miles west near the kibbutz of Huqoq, our dig "season" for the past 10 years has always been the month of June...
But the tunnel had to be joined with the building through an opening, right? The opening should be either on a wall or on the floor, which can be noticed by excavation. The only possible opening that can not be excavated was on the roof of the original building or a higher wall/story above the existing walls.
This was fascinating!! Of course I love seeing new places, but I always love when you go back to a place we've seen before & find more information about it! It'll be interesting to see what they find out about the doors & the column used as a table. Even if it's only educated guesses. The mosaics are beautiful, & always amaze me!! To have had so little compared to what we have today, & still do such beautiful work in synagogues is remarkable! It shows where they put their treasure. Their homes typically weren't ornate, but the house of God was! God bless & keep you both! And I paused to do my comment a half second too soon. As soon as I restarted the video, they're went Sergio in the water! I was wondering about that as I watched the video. lol
You guys always have the best and newest christian archeology stories.Try and do a story on that dig that was done years ago next to the prison. Uncovering a church.
thank you for showing the bible alive. and take so many with you to interesting places from the bible. Another big compliment from me for the videos themselves. I know how much hard work it is to cut and edit a 20 minute video. your videos are very professional and have great recordings. ....i guess maybe the hole is the entry?? the church was so important and was hidden from someone..a tunnel was the secret entry??? maybe..
what an exciting dig. Thank you both for sharing this blessed discovery.. what comes to mind is all in God's timing, He will reveal what He wants when we are ready to receive it. To think that over time, such preservation took place, again, God did that. :) What an awesome God we serve. He has a plan... so thankful you both know Jesus and can share His love. May He bless you, and I cannot wait till next year for the updates. Stay safe and keep healthy.. Yeshua we love you
I am thankful you two are well and safe. I do enjoy your clips. I have traveled to Israel many times. I love the way you portray the Israel of old and new. Oh and Aramaic was the common language in the time of Yeshua but the area you are in was mostly Greek
Here is the Original Semitic Text. Wonder if there was once a ramp or stairs leading up to a door located higher than the remaining walls. Seems like I've seen that somewhere on an ancient building.
This theory makes the most sense. Having a first level basement would have kept the church cooler and allowed for storage and lodgings, with church activities occurring on the second floor.
Is it possible an entry way, like a tunnel, instead of a door? Is it possible that they used a ladder to come in and go? Any ways! The Messiah said that “The Rocks will cry out” I praise the Lord for your program Thank you so much
@@lauraowen8142 Hi Laura, that is the only logical way. And the evidence is in the fact that these walls were built by the Crusading forces, not the church members. We are looking at two different eras. Unlike the church worshipers during the Byzantines, the crusaders were surrounded by Muslim enemy forces who ironically considered the crusaders as invaders . Visitors of old churches, like one near Cairo Egypt, would find the same technique where the worshipers would pull the ladder once they are inside.
So great to see the Sea of Galilee. There’s a great testimony of healing from depression being told from the seashore there. It’s called “No More Tears.” It’s the testimony of Jan Crouch.
There are unearthed pit structures, that were built partially submerged in the ground and had ladders to enter at the top of the structure. 🤔 Curious if any of those have been uncovered in the region? Thanks for the interesting view of the area! 🙏
Oh what an amazing discovery. And how much I long to be back in the Lords land also would be honor to be involved in such excavations. Truly honor all of you for the hard work.
Shalom! At 17:14, there is an image of a wall, a half round rock structure, and nothing... Or is there? You can clearly see indications left and right along the wall where you are to step up and in. I would say that the original stairs were made of a more valuable material, wood or fine rock that would induce people to like a grand entrance. In later times these valuable materials were used elsewhere. Tu-da!
Beautiful stratigraphy and work on this dig. Legend for the church of the apostles sat on the site of 2 of the apostles houses. It being such a seriously holy place until the end of the byzantine era, its a perfectly solid hypothesis that, apart from the floor and mosaics, the walls may have been completely "robbed out", and sealed with soil to keep the location secure but hidden during the chaos of the crusader times. Also, its entirely possible that being so close to the edge of the sea, that they had a very high levelled door, accessible by wooden steps in and out of the church to prevent flooding, but have long since rotted away and been destroyed by the crusader repurposing of the building later. Both of these types of architectural and archaeological things have happened to other ancient holy or significant buildings of similar age around the Mediterranean Sea.
I can not thank you enough for the amazing adventures you take us on. Unfortunately I am not able to visit in person but I almost feel like I'm there with you in your videos. I look forward to watching more 😊. God bless you both 🤗
Many thanks 🙏 to both of you for sharing God’s Home on Earth in the very near future, in the places where our Lord has walked lived and died then rose to Life on the third day. Amen. And another thing. Rhoda and Sergio have become very professional but personal while reflecting Jesus Christ in all you do. We will all hug when we meet in the clouds ⛅️. Praise Jesus for all time and Eternity !
When I became a Christian, some decades ago, it was based on faith only. But I was never afraid to examine my faith with research and data. It has been so exciting and amazing to see these kinds of finds which over and over verify the Old Testament and New Testament. And it is fun to watch this loving couple uncovering so many wonders for us.
Could the unrecognized column with a table be a cardinal directions table, showing which way north, south, east and west are? Such an interesting place.
Please look at the flood records for this spot. The original builders may have built water tight walls for flood protection. Your missing doors may have been replaced by stone or wood stairs on the outer wall. (you know those steps on a stone wall where the step just sticks out from the other stones?) This would also give protection from animal or human attack. P.S. use your ground penetrating devices to find the burials under that tile.
Rhoda , I love all your history lessons and bringing us to these sites. Sergio is amazing and both of you are so interesting to watch. I love seeing these great places and learning what took place there. It sure does help in scripture study and makes it real and final to me. I mean I am a believer but my mind couldn't draw up these places to see these events taken place. But , you are showing me lands and waters I will never be able to see in my life time. I just want to say , THANK YOU BOTH for all the blessings you give me. May GOD , our HEAVENLY FATHER always bless and keep you. Love and prayers from your friend Retha Moore from the U.S.A. 🇺🇸❤🙏🙏
Nov 25,2021 Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 to both you and Sergio and your families. Remember to give thanks to God for getting us through another trying year and how grateful we are for all our blessings. Shalom peace be to you all in Israel
Yay I’ve been checking everyday for a new video!! Could the missing door(s) had been higher up than the floor level and when you enter in the church you step down into it church ?
several of the 'unexplained' features resemble things you'd find in a catholic or anglican church (perhaps orthodox too but I don't know their church layout very well). The pillar thing looks like a font, but with the top basin removed? The half-circular addition looks like an apse behind the altar. That's very normal. Perhaps the church was converted at a later date even than the renovations to add the new features, to make it more suitable for catholic pilgrims prior to the Islamic invasion? The apse in particular appears to be of a much weaker construction than the main building, as if it was added on by less skilled builders at a much later date.
I am sending this to others! Love it over and over again! Incredible stuff. Plus you are doing an awesome job as a pro video creator. Great music and scenery and discussion! WELL DONE!
I'm praying there is something really cool on the floor that the Crusaders protected for the future by covering it and making people think it was a sugar factory, and blocked up any way in. That would be an amazing story.
This is an Eye opening discovery of Ancient Structures laid or constructed by other generations on the same spot. This project next to the Sea of Galilee where Jesus Christ and His Disciples spent meaningful time teaching the Disciples. Now we are connected to this unfinished project to continue next year. I wish everyone participating in this excavation love and prayers also for their wellbeing safety. Pray also for financial and human resources that are required to c home through with touch of heart of those willing to give. God bless.
The New Testament was wrote in Greek. He probably spoke some Greek yes. Did he not go to gentile territory? He did. I’m sure the Father could tell him any language tbh if it really came down to it. Some of the apostles were fishermen as well, meaning they would bring fish to various places, which would call for knowing gentile language to some extent. He probably could have learned from them as well.
The answers we are provided are thought provoking and sometimes certainly questionable. He is called Jewish as well but the people were not labeled as Jew at that time, perhaps Judea with we know different sects of sadducees, pharisees and essenes. I’ve seen much research support he was an essene, who are also attributed the writing of the Dead Sea scrolls. This scenario makes sense as the narrative of how it goes aligns with the historicity. 🙏
Particularly, The majority of the Dead Sea Scrolls are in Hebrew, with some fragments written in the ancient paleo-Hebrew alphabet thought to have fallen out of use in the fifth century B.C. With others in Aramaic. In addition, several texts feature translations of the Hebrew Bible into Greek. Also the copper scroll found has Greek stamping on it. It seems many of the people were capable of many languages.
