I think the best part is where he dumps the fuel into the Turbine for the smoke which leaves a ton of fuel on the ground, but he does it twice on their track, once on the top end and then the second time on the line where traction is critical for drag racing. Non of those dudes realized it.
Impractical application of a jet turbine ... this is why they failed in the real world for cars too. Great for planes and probably even train locomotives but in a rc car brushless is king :)

Shoud be a turboshaft to actually use all that power, it's hardly using 5% of it's output just puttering around like that. It's like a plane that never takes off, just taxis around.

What would be really cool is if someone built a turbo prop style transmission to turn wheels on a live axle or something like that instead of just running the jet engine straight out the back like an airplane..that would be sweet lol
eehh i guess that jet didnt do shit cuz that was WAY to slow. I haven't ever seen a jet-powered RC go that slow. Made get all ahh shit that thing is gonna be gone in a sec and then 10secs later its turning around n taken another 10 secs to get back. disappointing

He did not allow that turbine to spool up before releasing the brakes had he done that it would have been much faster look at the jet cars when they go to the drag strips they spoil their engines all the way up and hold it with their brakes and when they pop that switch the afterburner kicks in
Wild Man It will have speed, just needs work on aerodynamics and a longer stretch of road. Jet engines arent meant to go fast in short distances. Just like jets themselves
Needs to be setup for more thrust to get upto speed faster or run 2 engines. Also those tyres will have way too much drag! Also the intake for the turbine seems totally blocked off from incoming air?! Kudos on building the thing though, still cool.
when you fail to appropriately describe a video is ruins peoples expectations.. this means they become negatively affected. Please next time consider revising the title to properly reflect the video intention. This was a dry run, first test, this was not a demo of the unit in its full glory.
