I always wondered if there was a true difference between the types of high index glasses and the answer is: it all depends. High index glasses do overall improve the look of your glasses, so they are worth the investment. However, if you are on a budget, you don't necessarily want to spend more than you have to on an unnecessary high index lens - even if you do have a strong prescription.
