It takes a little bit of work, mostly making sure everything is 1.7.5 (not the 1.7.10 thats out there now). Especially thanks for the in-game tweaks and explanations of the options. I have a beast PC, but FPS always dropped - lowered shadow to 0.333 and viola, problem solved. Well done sir!!!!
Thank god for the official tutorial, worked flawlessly! I'm surprised this doesn't have more views considering how many problems some people run in to and the plethora of 20 minute overly-complicated tutorials you have to put up with. I'm not the mod author just the "media outlet" channel for the mod. But you're welcome on the tutorial. It was approved by Sonic to be the go-to video for the installation. DOF and Motionblur cannot currently be used at the same time. it's a technical limitation. Motion Blur, or DOF, or neither unfortunately.

Ok, so I got it to work on my mac, but like Coolestbj, I just get 4 distorted screens at the bottom left of the Minecraft window. Here are my specs Processor 3.5 GHz Intel Core i7 (I have 8 cores) Memory 32 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4096 MB (My computer is also just a few days old, I just picked it up from the Apple store 5 days ago) What would be the required hardware to run it SirCrest? Edit: I also have Windows 7 installed on my computer (if that helps with anything).

Hey, this mod is amazing! however, i have 2 issues that i need help resolving. 1: The clouds are supposedly volumetric, however for me they are just a wallpaper that moves across the sky. This isn't a huge deal as i don't frequent trips to the outer atmosphere, but it would be nice to have it like the video shows. 2: Whenever i look into any sort of water, there is a visual glitch that creates error-like boxes all over the water. its a 2 dimensional view so they are more squares than boxes. I can also look past this for the most part but once again it's really just preference of my game looking nice. If anyone is able to help i would be most grateful. Aside those 2 complaints, SEUS makes minecraft look absolutely exceptional.

Why is my fist black, and all blocks in my hand are red? Items such as swords, axes, and picks, don't show up in my hand when i have it selected. Any known fixes?
+Ashman792 You need to navigate to "Edit profile" on your minecraft launcher, then look through the list until you notice the option to change version. After selecting the version you want, hit "save profile" and then play. The client will then download the needed file list to play the specific version you selected. Hope I helped.
I get the message, "This type of file can harm your computer," when I try to download Optifine, so I don't really trust it. I think I'll do some research on it so I don't get any viruses (I don't really trust things I download from the internet, so it's not that I don't trust you, I just don't trust the internet).
It's a jar file with some .class files in it. The person/people who make Optifine would have to be massive cocks to have put any type of virus in their downloads.

But when i enable the others shader file: SEUS-v10.1-Ultra.zip (so not with the DOF) on the end The shaders actually works. It is just a coinsidence that i have that file btw.
;/. If you have NVIDIA go to your desktop and press the right mouse button. Click on NVIDIA Configuration or something. THen try to find the requested prossesor and change this to NVIDIA. it worked on me. At least higher fps.

Just to clear something up, SEUS v10.1 won't work on Macs. Many people are trying to. If MC crashes the moment you load a world, make sure you're using your dedicated GPU. This is common for Laptops. If you see a series of boxes on the bottom left you probably have unsupported hardware. I am not the mod author, I just work with Sonic Ether to create some video resources for it, all I can do is give suggestions. This is the official video because I simplified it and tried to make it extremely clear. Sonic is busy or I'd work on some more explanation videos.

It doesnt matter if i click it, or open it with the platform SE binary, I cant get the shader core thing to install? I dont know what its doing, maybe its windows 8 but i doubt it

For some reason It won't allow me to open up ShaderModeCore, even when I select "Open With", then "Java". So I end up with different profile options, and no available "Shader" button within the Minecraft game itself. Please help.
i use windows 8.1, minecraft forge for 1.7.10 with optifine and the shaders mod installed, but when i load this shader nothing happens. no series of boxes, no crashing, nothing.

When i download i don't have the instaler for these Mod. In this video i see when you have the instaler but i don't. What should i do or where should i go to get the freaking instaler while he isn't opening the Zip file with Java.

adam oron Please downloade forge, then open minecraft. After that exit out of it and do it again and then bayeem! You should have the shaders option....
I downloaded it successfully but the sun is a bit too bright and at times can be blinding. Any solutions? Also water look cool but its glitchy in that it looks like its trying to to reflect grass but is being really glitchy instead. Like the grass reflection is going on and off really fast
With an Nvidia 750 TI, I get large pixels of dirt and grass blocks in any water I look at, updated to latest drivers. Just sharing an issue I found, everything installed correctly with the 4 version I tried.

The ShadersModCore in which I downloaded for the applicable update in the description, will not boot up for me. Where as Optifine installed just fine, whenever I double click the SMC Java Exe, or select it to load via selection, nothing happens. I'm unsure as to why it wont install, any suggestions? Java/Download/Minecraft are all up to date with one another.
Woops! Nevermind, it turns out I downloaded the Forge Version of download, which uses an installer, rather than a manual install. If anyone else is having this problem, double check which one you have downloaded from the presented page!
Sigh, text turned to blank white bars, and it wont work. A shame, would have bee nice to use this in game. These kinds of things make me happy with just regular graphics, don't have to go through all nonsense and end up having nothing work.
Can someone please answer my question! I may be doing something wrong, but it seems I can only pick one or the other; either plain looking Minecraft with mods or a pretty Shader looking Minecraft with no mods. I've searched online and seen it is possible, but I can't seem to find steps. For example, I'm using Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders and a few different mods. For anyone who is wondering: I have the mod in the mod folder and the shaders in the shader folder, just in case someone asks if I have them in their respective folders. I know it is possible, now I guess the question is how do I go about getting them to work together? Because these are all Forge mods.
Hey, i just got a new laptop yesterday. I am running an Nvidia Geforce GTX 860m and i cant seem to run the SEUS. I followed the exact instructions yet every time i load up a world it crashes. I have the computer set to the dedicated graphics so i'm unsure the issue. Maybe one of you could help me resolve my issue, thanks.
Right Click on your desktop, click on Nvidia Control Panel. Then on the left of that window go to 3D settings, and look for something called the preferred graphics processor. Select the nvidia GPU. Laptops will often default to the low power integrated GPU to save power and switch to the dedicated ingame, but often Minecraft doesn't trigger it.

I have a question about the sun in the sky. It seems that Sonic Ether has it's own sun and there's an overlap of some sort. I see a giant, pixel, weird circle behind Sonic Ether's sun. When I turn off the sun and moon in details settings, it goes away, but the moon no longer appears. I'm guessing there's no moon built in. Is there just a fix for the sun alone?

Hitproxy They are still available at those links, but not directly. The versions used in the guide are outdated after nearly a year so those are pushed to archive pages. Optifine's older versions can be found here: optifine.net/downloads And you can click on "Previous Versions" on the shadermod page and find 2.3.15, follow the link through ad.fly to dropbox and you'll have the file. It might be worth doing a new video for 1.8 since the shader mod is more mature now.
When I start up a world, I'll get a view of my screen in the bottom left with 6 screens with the same view on top of the one at the bottom left. Then I get a few error messages saying "Invalid program gbuffers_textured_lit" and "Invalid program composite" and then "Invalid program final". Any ideas on how to fix these errors?
I followed the video exactly, forced my GPU to render it, updated my video drivers, and looked on every forum. BUT no matter what when I run Minecraft I get 4 tiny screens running in the bottom left part of my window. They seem to render the game fine, except the 4 screens are different sizes and all distorted. (So of course its not playable). Is there a fix for this? Please help! SirCrest
I get loads of comments each day, so if you gave me your specs already I'm sorry, but what kindof GPU and hardware are you using? Typically the small screens indicate it's simply not supported but I'm not sure yet.
So you're running up to date drivers? Have you tried the other SEUS configs just for testing? I can give some minor help and guidance, but I recommend checking out the thread on the forums and documenting your issues there. Much smarter people browse that and can offer help. I can only think of solutions based on my own experiences. if you're running the regular Nvidia GPU for Minecraft, then I'm out of solutions. Sorry.

Right click somwehre on your empty desktop and click on Nvidia Control panel. from there on the left of the this window, go to Manage 3D settings. Then look for Anisotropic Filtering. Set it to application controlled.

HELP!!! after downloading both optifine and shadersmod (ver1.7.5) i do not get the option of the optifine AND shadersmod together, i only have them seperately. is this a problem? since after i did all the steps throughout your vid, when i tried to join a map it gives me an error and closes the game showing me a crash report :( any help for me to fic this problem? You need to make sure your system is using your dedicated GPU instead of an integrated one. The method will depend on your computer, I can't walk you through it.

Is there a way i can have this work on my server? So, when someone joins they have the same shader pack as well. Or, is it just for the person who installs it? If there is please link a video or instructions on how.
This is currently just a client side deal. That's not to say some how people in the future could set this up in what you are talking about, but not right now to my knowledge.
