If you're buying these Kilimani Apartments and turning them to rentals or AirBnB then it's fine . if you're buying them to move in with your family then it's a very bad investment.. As much as we talking about location.. i feel these location thing is overrated and very soon these apartments will be Empty coz people will prefer building their own units rather than buy. Remember Building is way cheaper than buying.

The cost of land also influences the cost of construction. Land prices in Kilimani ranges from 200M TO 250m for an acre that's only accessible to developers. Different buyers have different preference the rich and the wealthy have no time to supervise and construct they choose to buy. Its convenient.

Problem is when everyone runs to the same business. A time is coming when the supply will overide demand. Be wary of this AirBnB rush for these 3 areas, any buyer considering this business plan, please spend time and delve into research on future economics of travel and doing business in Nairobi, then buy if you are happy with your conclusions. Regulation would have kept the inevitable at bay

​@@shumiakumu We have seen hotels coming up every other place since time immemorial. They still got business because human beings have embraced travelling since then. Good thing is, Africans and specifically Kenyans are continuing to embrace the travelling spirit, even if it's just from town to town.....or even the same town, what we like to call "stay cation" This is an opportunity already for investors to consider Airbnb. Yes, times change, they always do. But we're always advised to invest now rather than watch others investing in trends, make money then we regret why we never got into it in the first place, the "I wish I" phrases that are so common. Actually, the investment mentality has shifted and let's not talk about location 😄 Look at New York and London for example. Still pretty great locations? Absolutely 💯
