This was a very well planned and organized makeover. I think he followed the plan very well and made the space calm and neat. Personally I prefer a space with more color but there was such a good use of space here. I’m curious how well contact paper looks in person and holds up over time.

This was gorgeously and thoughtfully done! It's tiny, but cozy, bright, and comfortable. The only 'weird' area (as I'm sure you'll agree) is that odd 'dead space' between the stove and the cabinets. Too bad that could not have been tweaked in some way. :-( As a lifelong renter, I would be thrilled to have such a beautiful space! Very well done!

23:30 using a taped paper bag to catch dust from drilling holes, and taping multiple papers on the wall with measuremets to determine frame hanging position for lots of prints or paintings. 24:43 "The templates for the backing paper" are from the "backing on the adhesive contact paper used for the cabinets." It's notable that the greenery saves the entire space from this monochromatic trend. Minimalism is great, but I can't wait until interior designers bring back a pop of color and still meet the minimalist style (uncluttered surfaces and clean lines). I loved all your DIYs especially the plant stands, the bowls were my favorite. Whenever I design wall art with glass I replace it most of the time with plexiglass. I put the lego canvas board on my Pinterest page to do a similar design but with mirrors. The reveal is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!
