"Escape" is the first part of "Bound by Time," a duology of music pieces telling a short story from two overlapping perspectives. In this piece, I aimed to convey a sense of suspense and confusion, as if someone were trying to escape from a group of adversaries. I imagined them hiding in a messy room, attempting to calm down and understand what is happening. They are in the dark, feeling scared and uncertain about what will happen next. It is a moment of intense fear, as they hope no one will catch up to them or watch them from afar in this vulnerable moment.
