Who the fuck wants to play a role that just heals. This is the best support to come in so long, and I hope most of the rest are like this (the aggressive play making part, not the op stats part).

Most important abilities from supports: ana - anti + sleep bap - inmortality zen - dmg boost mercy - dmg boost lucio - speed + boops brig - boops + extra hp + peel weaver - positioning kiriko - clean debuffs this is the first support who’s kit is around dmg pressure and it’s the easiest to counter… your only problem with her is that your gonna see her in the killfeed when she uses her ult instead of being an assistant. I’m sure that if they changed the killfeed and instead of her the dps who had triggered her ult chain appeared, no one would be calling her dps

I haven't heard support players complaining since the OW2 beta where they were sitting ducks. Jay has been complaining about the supports complaining since they stopped complaining lol

I think Jay has complained about every support hero. We should change "support" heros to healers. Better yet, heal bots so people know their role. Instead of abilities to help the character survive, they should give them abilities to help heal other players. Better yet, just remove all the support heros (Jay would agree, he talks about it all the time) and replace with one character. All the character does is heal. You don't even have to aim, it just auto heals. You're just there to fill a void. Sure it doesn't sound that fun, but you're a support you're not supposed to have fun you're supposed to heal and thats it.

People calling her a dps are clueless her firr rate is awful and multiple supports have been putting out crazy on paper damage numbers for years (Baptiste and anna) Only thing that might get touched is the rate of healing in her pylon. Everything else is fine.

Jay! The glasses hurting your ears/temples thing is more of a glass frame or headset problem instead of just glasses in general. Maybe the headset presses too hard against your ear or the frame is a bit too thick. Just saying that so maybe you take it into consideration when getting new glasses in the future or something. Yes there is fall-off, once you hit the threshold range it only does 1/3 of its damage. And the ult sticks for 5 damage, then explodes on its own for 50, then you do 90 of your own damage to trigger it to do another 120 explosion that is aoe

Got LASIK 5 years ago, still going strong. Highly recommend it for anyone (especially glasses wearers). IDK about the impacts to future contacts, but my vision is great still lol

@Jay3 I wore glasses and contacts since 3rd grade and was legally blind (nearsided). Lasik actually changed my life, it is the absolute best thing I have ever gotten and would recommend it to anyone. The new procedure uses a laser so it is infinitely more accurate and lasts much longer than it used to back in even the 80's.

Healbotting is boring. If it became the only way to play support, I'd stop playing support altogether, as would many current support mains, probably. I'd be okay with healbotting if it was fun, but nah. It's not challenging or fun to pump your tank with healing. Even the highest skill ceiling support right now (Ana) is lower skill ceiling than any of the hitscan DPS heroes. You can't crit with her, and it's always easier to hit your teammates than your enemies, so compared to when playing a DPS character you rarely ever have to hit a challenging shot if you focus on healing. Plus the only supports with fun movement don't even require aim to heal.

There is a reason why its called supports but not healers.

Before she came out, i was telling my friend they should give lifeweaver a healing turret, replacing either of his abilities honestly. And have it so his healing charges up in the background while he can escape or dps. It would feel less janky to me. And at this point. Nerf his stats back down because I think they would be way too powerful if the character is getting reworked.

ngl the only way to wear glasses is to not wear headphones as well because that shit will press your temples and that can help increase migraines/headaches which you definitely do not want but then again wearing earbuds from headphones is a bit of a odd switch if you arent used to it

lasik does last forever. but Presbyopia happens to everyone around 40 years old which is just your eyes not being able to focus due to being too flexible. the lasik isn't undone so you will still be able to see far with no problems.

"Supports are broken in this game and they cry about everything and get everything that they, like, want." I truly believe this is a lie. They didn't release Illari for us support players, they released her for DPS players. Illari belongs in the DPS column. As a normal support main with semi-okay aim, I think this character is completely broken. My first game, first ult, I got a 5k. I disagree with what's being said by Jay about supports being better dps players. Yeah maybe support characters have damage (on a similar level as dps) AND healing but we have to CHOOSE between the two or be called trolls if we only use one or the other. We have to CHOOSE to pay attention to who's low on heals and if we can do DPS while waiting to heal, or if we need to heal before doing DPS. Therefore we can miss lots of kills/saves depending on what we choose. Whereas all DPS has to worry about is shooty shooty at enemies. Illari can throw her turret down and call it a day, focus on DPSing. Idk about you but that sounds like a Symm but with a hitscan left click and zarya heal beam right click. And a turret that heals from lightyears away. Also, WE ARE CALLED SUPPORTS, NOT HEALERS FOR A REASON. We do more than heal, thank you. Illari is the first "support" hero with a pure damage ult that she can use by herself, not on teammates or relying on teammates. No other support has anywhere near her damage or carry potential besides maybe Ana & Bap. But Ana can't use her ult on herself, and solely relies on the ally to do something with it. Bap has to aim through a window to get extra damage, and has to choose where to put it that can make it effective through it's duration. I mean, Illari did kill her entire city, ON ACCIDENT, pretty much. That's a DPS backstory if I ever heard one, if not a villain bg. As an extra note: Mercy-my main The Mercy Mafia has been "crying", this whole year, for damage boost to be nerfed instead of GA/Valk. What do they do? Nerf everything else besides damage boost, and refuse to acknowledge or fix bugs with GA/Valk & various other support bugs. With Season 6 and the release of Illari, they finally nerf it. They don't undo anything else or fix any bugs. I'm CONVINCED the only reason they finally nerfed damage boost is because we would never damage boost anyone other than Illari. Maybe I shouldn't speak for all of MM, but for myself, I certainly wouldn't. Thanks for attending my Ted Talk.

13:45 i am a dps player but my opinion is that supports aren´t healers, they are SUPPORTS so they need to support u and if someone see good aim and dmg as a support alement why he can´t have a equal hero on it?

You support your team by healing them. Supports main role is to support your tank and dps, this means with utility and healing. You should be damaging when this job doesn't need to be accomplished.

The only thing i like about Illari is that if you play sneaky Genji you can reflect her patheticly overpowered ult right back into her face and blow her to kingdom come. Her healing is insane tho. If you want her to be a primarily dps support like a zen or to a lesser extent bap thats fine, you just gotta nerf the ludicrous amounts of healing she has the potential for.

Instead of actually improving the dps characters like Cassidy (who has been over nerfed) you instead bring out a healer that can heal herself heal teammates and out dps other heroes makes no sense

Support isn’t meant to just heal their SUPPORTERS. Speed boosts, sub-damage, extra armor, etc. their job is to help the other players do what they’re supposed to do.

I think the idea that support are supposed to be healers is ridiculous. In war if your not using everything you have access to its no different than marching your troops into uncertainty. Having a well rounded character is the ultimate support considering your able to support each role. A character like murcy can be considered a healer except even mercy is support if you play them right. Limiting a character to something as stupid as healer when your not supposed to be able to out pace damage.
