I just have a question.... I'm pretty new to the group, so please forgive me. Do we go by the outline for chapter 19 for chapter 20? I'm not there yet but I just seen it and was wondering. ALSO, I just want to say, 2BeLikeChrist has helped me so much with my Bible studies. I can't thank you enough! May God Bless You And Your Family.
An example of the application in a negative sense would be: "In the bible, 1 Samuel 20:30, it says 'You son of a rebellious, perverse woman!' As we can see, modernize the understanding it implies something provocative and corrupt. How could we allow such to be read to our children!?"
I know we still have 9 chapters to go but so far in all honesty, this may be the first book of the Bible I am not a fan of. While the chapters with the genealogies and timelines of the ancestors of the Israelites are interesting to see documented, so far this book is just repeating stuff from the 2 Samuel and some of 1 Samuel. Maybe the application part of your video is in my mind right now, but how it seems to leave out details compared to 1 Samuel and 2 Samuel is kind of annoying. I get that David was a great King and he followed God and God blessed him, but what he does with Bathsheba in addition to him taking so many wives shouldn't be overlooked.
