I don't recall seeing any of this in C.S. Lewis' writings. Can you cite references? I'm particularly concerned because some of the ideas - not to mention illustrations - seem more indicative of pagan eastern religious practices than of Christianity (13:06-13:26 - I find it hard to believe God would use techniques from Hindu and Buddhist traditions - such as the "Lotus" position)! Further, some of your statements are a little too close to "prosperity gospel" ideas; so close, in fact, that I doubt Lewis would ever have taught them. If you are using Lewis' writings subtly to ease people away from following Jesus and ease them into eastern pagan philosophies, while trying to sound as if you're doing the opposite, you need to repent! If you think I'm overreacting, just read through the comments and note the ones that speak of "manifesting" certain blessings, or creating wealth. This is NOT what scripture teaches!

My husband talks in his sleep during this time. When I hear him begin to speak, I grab a journal, flashlight and pen and write everything he says. He and God have conversations at this time. I have 5 years of journals with these conversations. God has brought him to many many biblical events and has shown him profound things. We do not share these because most people would discount them. But these are real, amazing and holy encounters.

Excuse me for saying this but when I read it .. I thought Dannnnnng Joseph! Lol that's so amazing and supernatural. It's a miracle that you and him and work together like this. God just downloads information and you receive it. What a beautiful representation of husband being the head and wife being the help mate. I have been waking up at three am for years. I decided that God wanted me to pray. Not to worry. I cast all my care upon Him. Recently I have been practicing doing what I feel that God is asking me to do. I’m working at responding like Abraham. In faith that God can work through me! Praise God.

JESUS CHRIST SAVES! Dear friend, have you been saved? If you are like most people in the world today, you would probably say yes, but there are still doubts in your mind. What does the Holy Bible say about salvation? I woke once to the hear of a scream that said “hey” I looked around wife sleeping my younger boys they were in bed. So I layed down and started praying for all my boys two older ones live on their own and then I went to bed. Next day bout noon my older boys walked in sat down told me he was at gunpoint with someone. When I asked what time it was exactly when I was praying. The guy was arrested as he discharged a round in the yard after leaving no one was hurt but he was jailed after the cops came.i firmly believe my prayers were what kept my son from being shot! It was a demonic attack no doubt!

Amen. Stay sensitive to the Holy Spirit and His unique ways of getting our attention! God used to wake me up with a loud knocking on the wall of my bedroom; more like BANG - BANG - BANG! I never had fear - so I knew it was Him wanting time with me. So I would pray. We will never know the full impact of these encounters with Him until we see Him face - face.

I have had a similar experience with my son.. as soon as I woke up from the dream in horror over seeing him being stabbed...😢 I just fell out of my bed, onto my knees and cryed and prayed for Gods help.. later my son partially revealed that ppl had been after him .. but did not want to worry me. I knew thst had to do with my dream, Gods warning! HalleluYah ❤❤❤

I woke up today at 3AM and watched a different video and went back to sleep after 5. But this video entered my feed much later today. its 9PM now and the video I watched at that time wasn't exactly about God, but it was very much getting me to think about the glory of God in his creation! I'll use the time to pray if I wake up this morning at 3.

I’ve been getting up at this time for over 30 years . Because I worked construction and needed to pay the bills . Thankfully Jesus saved me 10 years ago and my faith is in Him and not mysticism that Christianity is plagued with . Repent and believe the gospel

I loved this video. Wake up EVERYNIGHT between 3 and 5. Been through so much since 2020. Lost my only child, home, business, Mother, our pet, and almost my husband who ended up on life-support in a coma in NICU. We powered through our lufe's savings trying to get workman's co.p to do the right thing. We have been homeless, and ended up in a broken down mobilehome. 2 weeks later, I had a massive heart attack, they call it broken heart syndrome. Truly, uou learn that Jesus is all you need when Jesus is all you have. I dug deep, and refused to give up, and turn away from Christ. I cried, more like wailed. I was shattered. My life was broken, and I did not understand why. My son was a gift, but I had to be willing to return the gift to the giver. As hard as it still is, my son and I were close, I want more then anything to draw close to Jesus. So, from now on when I wake up at 3...I will say, Here I am Lord.

God-YH takes us through the fire. I understand your pain. I said to my friend, "we are both broken." She lost her husband & son. I don't think she understood me. She took the vx. I begged her not to. She's quarrelsome, l can't hold a logical conversation with her. I've known her since HS, but after the vx, her mind has changed. Can't explain it. 😢

Repeating numbers, 3am, and God sending people my way when I feel discouraged. The loss of my daughter hit me the most but on top of that her youngest two kids were taken from our close-knit family by their father even though I have custody. God is helping me through all this court business and I trust in whatever He does. I and my family and friends are in constant prayer for their return. God is good and I know the enemy's tactic is to draw me away from God. That I speak and declare will not happen. God has been too good to me and my family. Many years ago when I was first married ,I kept waking up at this hour for a few days and kept getting upsetting thoughts about my dad. Then one night I awoke and saw my grandmother my father's mom who was deceased ,and then an angel wrapped their huge wings around my dad. The next morning, my mom called and said a drunk driver hit my dad's car driving on the way home from work in the early morning, he was a NYC Firefighter. He was not harmed at all. I know that was God those few nights letting me know.

What a timely word! I'm very much aware of spiritual warfare and hours of the night...but this was perfect timing. my husband's not been sleeping well these last few weeks..this morning I prayed for I thought he had insomnia and I hadn't thought about this aspect and so I told my husband I'm listening to something and I'm going to play it for him when he gets home. years ago when we were first married I was a Believer but did not understand all of spiritual warfare and the prophetic and so many things I do now so probably like 22 years ago I was woke up in the middle of the night and was just WIDE awake had no idea why... I didn't realize I should pray even pray without knowing who I was praying for. I had no idea and then I went back to sleep-I found out the next day that there was a person in Milwaukee that had been dragged off their front porch into the middle of the street (&middle of the nite) and was beaten to death ,I can't help but think had I known then to pray if that person's life would have been spared from that demonic attack..

He’s been waking me up for a long time - sometimes He gives me poems and songs - but often it’s to pray for others. Sometimes I know who I’m praying for, sometimes I don’t - but it doesn’t matter. I’ll pray anyway! And read my Bible! Yes, the enemy does try and destroy the beautiful things of God - but God wins! Hallelujah. Jesus Christ is arisen and He will come soon!!! Yes, I have been told that I am a watchman - which I didn’t want - but have finally learned to be very grateful about this!! Thank You, dear Lord God. You are just so wonderful!

Had a vivid dream last night! To pray against wicked leadership in my particular state - Colorado. Woke up at 3:30AM - dream still vivid. Could not go back to sleep. Wrote down the dream and I'm already praying with friends. Will continue to pray for this matter! Dream gave clear instructions about how to pray! Wonderful TRUTH here!

My mother passed away recently- not too long ago I saw her in a dream. In this dream my mother was young again with jet black hair and wore the most amazing blue dress. This blue was not an earthy blue but a heavenly one. My mom was happy- which comforted me.

Woke up once at 4:24 and was led to take my Bible and close my eyes and flip the Bible all around and I opened it and pointed my finger at Jn 4.24 "God is Spirit and those that worship Him must worship in Spirit and truth. This started my journey to understand the Kingdom of God/Heaven.

I've several times done just that. Feeling moved take your Bible in your hands. Ask the Lord if he has a message for you to consider. I've been amazed at what I've read and how it was on my mind. No doubt God has a plan for Trump. He saved his life from the assassination attempt. I prayed the day of that event, feeling very distraught. I've had reoccurring dreams for years. When I was a child, I had very vivid nightmares and couldn't wake myself up. No matter how loud I thought I'd scream, nobody heard me, and I couldn't move. No matter how hard I tried to rise, I felt a hand pressing on my chest to keep me down. It was exhausting! In these dreams, I rise in the air like Jesus. Kinda cool huh? Weird thing is though, I attracted a lot of attention; ya know, like the locals, family, friends and such. I don't like this much attention, scares me too death. Kind of reminds me of stage fright. So here it is. My dreams were about F aliens. Yes, they wanted me to let the locals know, it was safe to go with them. They were sent here to save us somehow from an impending shit storm. I've never shared that with anyone in my life, except you. These dreams took place whilst I was living in a small town in Eastern Tennessee, Milwaukee WI, and Los Angeles, CA. They finally stopped in 2004. It was in TN, where I elevated into the air. And then they threw me down to the Earth; assholes. Yeah, ever have a flying dream? One that scares the shit out of you? Bad landing perhaps? Broken legs, compressed spine? LOL. After a while of that shit, I learned how to land on my feet in my dreams. Not only that, later, I learned how to fly too and, even taught my sister how to do it. And guess what? In 2006, I was at Whitman Airport in Pacoima, CA, signing up for flying lessons. Question is? WTF was that all about? Now I will listen. Regarding stage fright. I've joined the Groundlings Theatre in Los Angeles to deal with my stage fright. Who knows, maybe I'll make the SNL show? Ha! Talk about the aliens, whales and dolphins, shooting of Ronald Reagan (yep, knew about that 2-weeks before it happened.)

Once I realized it was selfish to just pray for help for my needs I began to worship God and allowed him to do His will in my life. I have come to realized that was the wisest decision I have ever made. God has been so good to me I can't complain 🙏 I intercede for others and he rewards me abundantly 🙏 . I started waking up about 3: 00 every morning about 2 months ago. I started realizing that it was the Lord waking me up so I started reading my Bible and doing praise and worship at least an hour or more every morning. It means so much to me. One day about a week ago I had to start work earlier so I didn't get to do the praise and worship part. And I cried about it most of the day because I missed it so much. I really missed the fellowship that I have with the Lord. I need that more than I need to breathe.

Lately, I started praying, interestingly, I get super sleepy,even tho seconds before I was brite eyed and bushy tailed, a fight to say awake until prayer is finished is hard, often starting over again and again. Prayer finally said try to go back to sleep, as now I am wide awake again. The devil loves to get in the way of prayer. Prayer gets in his way, I am happy to throw a wrench in his plans if I can❤

One night I was sleeping and I saw an angel. She was beautiful with flowing hair and what can only be described as a dress but it seemed to have rays of light entwined in it. She was giggling and I felt compelled to follow her. I chased her around the house I grew up in as a small child. She then stopped and turned around in my mothers room of our new house. She had a glowing orb in her hand. So bright it was hard to look at initially. She then giggled and tossed the orb to me underhand and I caught it. At that moment I felt peace like I have never felt before. She let me hold it for a short time and I remember not wanting to let go of it but she calmly smiled and nodded and I handed it back to her. She smiled again, turned around, and left. That was 40+ years ago and I remember every part of it perfectly.

Part of it is aging as you get older your body makes LESS of everything, but it's a great time to pray as well. It's quiet, the body is wound down, there shouldn't be any interruptions.

Waking up at 3-5 AM is common for me too. I've noticed when I pray, I suddenly get sleepy despite being alert before. It's a struggle to finish, often restarting. Once done, I'm wide awake again. Seems like spiritual opposition, but I'm determined to keep praying. Curious if others experience this!

I have 'stumbled' on this just today after asking the Lord why my dreams are often so weird and disorientating. I've been a Christian for many years and even since childhood struggled with sleep and have felt quite distressed over this. I am very thankful for your insights. I realise even more clearly that my dreams/sleeping are as much a battlefield as my waking! I have been praying over myself recently 'your old men (65!) dream dreams' and that the Lord would use my sleeping/dreaming/waking in a positive way. So praise Him for your wee video.

I have found myself awake as early as 330, and as late as 430 every morning, and discovered it is a very spiritual time. Then I discovered these videos. I have very vivid dreams, and I would like to tell of at least two or more instances that occurred in those hours, dreams that startled me awake, that came true during the day. So every morning at these hours I bless and then ask God what I can do for Him that day, and everything seems to fall into place. Amazing, glory be to the highest, Amen.

These past few days, I suddenly wake up from sleep at 3:00 am or a bit later. I’ve just been going to the bathroom and returning to bed to sleep but I noticed I can’t fall back to sleep right away but I finally do! This video popped up right now so it’s no coincidence! I believe now He is wanting me to now pray, speak to Him and listen to what He desires of me. Last night around 11 pm I told Him I did not know what to pray about so I was going to pray in His Spirit because His Spirit knows what to pray about or what to pray for! I’ve always woken up between 3 to 5 am for years! And recently I found out I have the gift of intercessory prayer! This video speaks so much truth about the calling of one who wakes up in the night. God has a specific assignment and the Holy Spirit is waking us up. I embrace this calling with all my heart ! Thank you ABBA Father for making me a watcher and I will be your co- worker! 🩷

I’ve woken up early for many years and I’ve been told I talk in my sleep. There’s times I don’t fully wake up out of bed but I know I’m in some sort of dream or conversation. I never knew I was to pray. God has sent me visions of my siblings illnesses that came true. Answers to problems for school or work. Warnings of people that surround me. I’ve heard pagers buzz, phone and alarm before it sounds off. Heard my name called, a car hit my car, etc. I feel God is always with me guiding and protecting. Talk to God as you speak to a BFF anytime of the day. Your connection will grow stronger. Is there Anyone with same experience?

I have come through alcoholism and two broken marriages. I read the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe when I was 9 years old. When Aslan came back. from the dead God told me this has actually happened. When I was 37 years old I realised God had shown me the resurrection of Jesus Christ in the story of Aslan. C.S. Lewis. Was a Christian, and in the chronicles of Narnia he told the story of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation! I often wake at night and talk to God. Like Samuel it took me years to recognise God's voice. I am now 67 years of age. And I can honestly say God is awesome. I now Disciple people and teach them how to hear and obey God's voice. I predominantly hear God through his word in the bible. Jesus said, "the Holy Spirit will not speak on his own he will only tell you what he hears" keep reading the word of God in the guidance, and presence of the spirit of Jesus Christ.

Thanks. God's word is my guide daily. Alcoholics anonymous and C.S Lewis were both Avenues that led me to the word of God. "The word became flesh and lived among us".

Why near the end of the video is there a picture of someone meditating in a (lotus ?) eastern meditation position? It's important to meditate on the Bible but I don't think this is appropriate for believers in Jesus Christ to imitate this position.

I am not sure that any of this is actually from the writing of CS Lewis. In any event, Lewis' musing are not scripture, and not some infallible guide to life. If any of this helps/resonates with you (like praying when you are awake and can't sleep and using this time to fellowship with God) then that's good. Use what you can/ignore what doesn't help.

So he's making money on RU-vid and even if he was quoting CS Lewis the Bible says freely you have received freely you should give. It also says there is no charge for the gospel or instructions from the Word, yet hundreds of so-called preachers and teachers are making thousands and hundreds of thousands of month off of RU-vid, literally selling the word of God. CS Lewis is turning over in his grave

Yes, there's a lot of ideas shared, but not a strong biblical foundation. Prayer is the appropriate response to any undesirable situation, including interrupted sleep, but we should not assume that whatever thoughts that come to us at such a time are necessarily from God. It's within His power to do this, but He has not explicitly indicated He will do this for every believer whose sleep is interrupted.

In the morning I will order my prayer unto you and eagerly watch. I find myself not only praying early but I will go downstairs and watch out the window and listen while looking into the dark and then I see cracks of daylight coming through the darkness as the Sun comes up. Reading these comments are soo encouraging and confirming. I've been called to interceed 3-4 nights a week between 12 & 2 am for the last 4 years. OFTEN the prayer time is tremendously intense and spiritually uplifting (working for God brings edification). Yet, I've not come across anyone else who walks this walk. Thank You all for being fellow watchmen and trust me, i Will Be More Sensitive to carry forward with prayer past 3am! This is the second video I have found today that answers issues i have been dealing with. I am constantly waking up at these hours, on occassion, I talk to God, or pray for someone, and about concerns in my life. This video has given me insight to what God wants. Sometimes the Spirit tells me to delete shows i have recorded, I didnt do that before, now I do. This has been happening for at least 4 to 5 years. I'm 71, and just retired last year. I subbed today.✝️🛐

Yes, I frequently wake up, between 3 and 5 AM. It happens regularly during these last few months. I'll be more vigilant about it; previously, I feared that it's a medical issue, or simply about getting enough sleep. I'll keep this in mind now.
