Well, he will probably be charged for murder, 17 counts of kidnapping, which might carry federal charges from happening on the bus, on the highway and car jacking a bus, felon with an armed weapon, resisting arrest, and anything else they can add to it. So I'm guessing he will be in prison for a long time this round.

@scottmartin5093 Yes, we have, and we still do. There are roughly 1.2 million people in prison in the US. 42% of them are there for drug ofences. 7% of them are there for violent crime. The US has the largest prison population on the planet.

So crazy I was trying to get onto 85 from Jimmy Carter and nobody was moving for like 5 minutes. Cops were going through the middle of the cars and then came back the opposite way. I found out today it was from that bus. I'm glad I was stuck on that on ramp.

We have serious problem with transit services in this country. It may be time to shut them all down until law enforcement and local governments get a handle on the situation.
