Aweosme, Friend! Yeah you're exactly right: it does get mighty hot under the hood. It's really seeping in that 1993 was 25 years ago!!! That's why I'm not angry that I'm having this problem, I guess it's to be expected of at this point. If it is the same where you live: our Camrys are eligible for antique tags! Thanks for the info on that speed sensor, Yeah I don't know What's up with that... Going to the part store to get a part that may not even fit, And for more info on the GPS/tachometer! I heard you say some names and I'm going to write them down! I'm Glad to know that there are other options out there... Thank You for the help Friend!!! I now know I've got someway to go! Thumbs Up!!!
Normally belts are the Squealers. Maybe a pulley is Frozen? Check see if belt is showing signs of wear? Or you can try when you get around 55 miles an hour let off the gas and press on it get the RPMs up see if jump/engaged next gear. Or take off over drive.. Wish you the best
So if a transmission bearing making a squealing noise.. That's pretty serious and metal flakes will carry out through the transmission damage clogging other parts.. Get someone to change the fluid and see if there's any metallic flakes in there. Sounds like it might not be shifting into the final gear
