Thank you for doing both feet forward (I am left side dominate and lead left foot). Its hard to translate techniques that are done on the right side. Very nice takedowns.

Suggestion for Kimura throw (executed by attacking opponents right arm), do not leave you right leg outside like you would for collar drag. Instead, bring your right leg up (bent knee) until your foot is in groin between opponents legs with your right knee touching his right-side rib cage. Sit back on your left leg like you are sitting down into a chair to execute the throw and he will roll, almost impossible not to.
@StillRolling
@StillRolling 3 года назад
That is definitely a much nicer way to do it and works very well. The feet outside just puts all of your weight on the shoulder and they have to move to avoid injury. Not something I would do outside of competition.

great video say when u try and do the drop under shoulder throw and when u use the momentum to pull his arm down and he goes up would a seoi nage using the lapel hand to put ur elbow under his shoudler be a good option ?
@StillRolling

Yes sometimes you may have to modify your grips depending on how defensive your opponent is. Thanks for watching 🤙

This is a good video but just be careful with the sacrifice throw. My training partner broke his arm when I did this move to him because he posted on it. It's safe to do it to the side you are grabbing (training partners right side in this video) because they're unable to post with their free hand.
@StillRolling

Yes there many dangers in posting during takedowns for sure.

@@StillRolling For sure, definitely not against the takedown, just a heads up of the dangers involved with posting for those who might not realize it. Oss

How is jumping guard a takedown?
@StillRolling
@StillRolling 3 года назад
That is just a bonus option to the actual takedowns in the video. Technically its jumping into a submission, that any people will try to roll out of giving you points when you come on top.
