I think it’s because it makes us feel nostalgic or so, remembering when we were really little with a type of music box to help us sleep. Maybe it makes us feel safe in some way, in a way that only specific things can do
Music boxes have a special place in my heart, my mother passed 5 years ago when i was nine. And i was given a music box with a photo of me and my family in it. The music box placed amazing grace.
For me, it's either I feel *nostalgic* and sometimes *deja vu* ... Like sometimes I felt like I heard this music box music before, but irl, I didn't. It's like *made up memories* that floods my mind~ But ofc it's different for everyone but maybe someone can relate to mines.

I recognize some of these! I remember when I was really little (probably two or so) having a CD player that played Fur Elise on a loop. Fur Elise is a nice song, but I remember the repetitiveness keeping me up. I was screaming for my mom at the top of my lungs so she could come make it stop.

Elfen Lied lol. Stranger Things ripped off that anime so bad now that I think of it… Just the main concept of a special telekinetic orphan girl… capable of destroying humanity. Just that whole concept they ripped off.
