I really appreciate the level of depth that Angie goes to: "Someone would say, that foundation looks good. What is it?" That's such a great distinction and really helps me decide if it's something I want to try!
Pro-tip for the most natural freckles ever (I have freckles but this is if you want to increase the number of freckles and save some time): get a stippling brush and some self tanner mousse. Put one pump of the self tanner in a dish, cup, etc. and wait until it starts to “melt” from its mousse texture (this shouldn’t take long). Use the stippling brush to lightly “stipple the freckles on”. If something looks too dark, just dab it with your fingertip to your liking! I use bondi sands extra dark for darker freckles, but for fair/light tones like myself, I also use the b.tan forever + ever self tanner. There’s a bit of a learning curve because each person will want their freckles to appear differently. You can use this under or over a skin tint/light foundation, but if you want to really want them to appear very light and natural, I use the elf halo glow powder and use the self tanner freckles ON TOP of the powder. The powder absorbs some of the tanner so it sort of diffuses the look. There you go! Btw, the more the self tanner melts, the darker the freckles will appear. Just tweak to your liking 😄💖
For literal decades I have been looking for tips to hide my freckles without the dreaded Orange cake face, and here I am seeing everyone wanting to paint them on. It's so weird to me. Also, how do you get self tanner to not turn Orange on pale Olive skin? That Bondi self tanner turned screaming clown Orange on me. I kinda overdo it with the amount of SPF I use, and have been toying with the idea of a fake tan, but Orange is my forever result.
@@DinkyInky2hmm I’m not sure I have a neutral undertone so it doesn’t turn orange for me but I mean I use it very lightly and dab after placing the stipple, so maybe that cuts back on the orange tendencies?
I’m actually pretty curious about Flower Knows. I think the packaging is adorable and I’d love to see the makeup reviewed by someone I trust, like you!❤
I know I'm no Angie, but I love flower knows! I do think it's mostly for very light skin tones (I'm pasty and have to use the darker colors) and it does follow that Chinese "watercolor makeup" trend, so it's kinda sheer-washed and blurred out.
I have more mature skin (I’m in my 50s). I use the Clarins serum at night before bed and love it. I also use the Clarins total eye lift at night. You take one pump, warm it between your fingers and then press into your lower eye area and lid. It helps minimize crepiness that forms under your eyes, especially. You might like them both, I do. Have a great vacation in Disney, I’m heading there at the beginning of October!
Aw, we were Scentbird twins this month! Wish it had more staying power but oh well. Glad to hear you booked a vacation! You both work immensely hard and deserve a fabulous vacation! 🧡💜🧡
Scentbird triplets!!! I'm still waiting on mine to get to me but yay!! I'm excited for this scent. Last month I got the Juliet has a Gun - Moscow Mule & love it!!
@@alicerichardson7615I haven't tried that one. Does it have staying power? I feel like I've heard not so great things about that when it comes to Juliet Has A Gun but I've only tried one of their scents that I can recall. Have you tried The Maker's Libertine? I fell in love with it and "had"to use a $100 Rouge card to get the full size at Sephora.
I just got home from a procedure in hospital. Set up with a cup of tea and a snack...clicked on youtube....I was so happy Really REALLY happy to see over an hour video from you to chill too. Thank you!
Hi Angie! I’m turning 30 in a couple months, and I’m wondering if you’d do a video of all the best advice you have and things youve learned in your 30s. Maybe things you wish you knew, or just most helpful lessons! You have a great viewpoint and understanding of the world and of yourself so I would drink up any wisdom you have for sure ❤
I'm from China and Flower Knows used to be my favourite local brand. They were that half-neutral-half-fun brand with beautifully designed packaging, before they get under that no-makeup makeup trend. Now I mostly want them for their packaging alone😅However I think they made some good choices about what things to send you. That palette is probably the most colorful while pigmented one they are selling now. The blush is also one of the deep and colorful ones from their collection (yeah I find that hard to believe too). Still hope you try and enjoy the products though, cause I feel their quality is quite good, and I'm still hoping by expanding to more international markets, their style and shade range can expand gradually as well (just as Florasis kind of did).
I just got Flower Knows Moonlight Mermaid palette and the packaging is stunning. Eyeshadow formula is not very pigmented, but it's blendable and buildable. Very suitable for Chinese douyin make-up looks. But I'm curious what you will think about it 😉.
The Clarins double serum is the best I've ever tried. Use it for a week and you'll never use another setum ever. It's that good. Thanks for brightening up my day Angie ❤
I was going to say the same thing about the Total Eye Lift. Oooh it's SUCH good stuff! I love it equally as much as Korres eye lift serum (both quite pricey but both excellent for aging, slightly to moderately hooded eyelids). Please, Angie, please try the Clarins products!
Stay away from bee hives if you have the banana scent on. The “attack” pheromone (the one they use if the hive is being threatened) is the same/very similar to the compound that makes the banana scent. You are much more likely to get stung, and possibly by many bees if you are near a hive. (I’m a beekeeper and would never wear banana scent, lol). The reason we smoke a hive when we open it is so they can’t smell that pheromone.
I hate Sephora’s sample system. They never, ever include it in what I’ve bought. I’ve tried to get foundation samples or skincare samples and they never ship them. I’ve even left comments on my orders and contacted them and they do nothing about it. I wish we had an Ulta in Canada. I almost forgot to add that I enjoy these overviews so very much. You touch on so many products with your quick assessment and critical eye. Thank you 🧡
I have the same experience here in the US. They especially love to swap out perfume samples, and it’s very frustrating. I try to pass them on to loved ones, but it feels wasteful for them to ship something I didn’t even want.
I’d love to see a curated 4-pan or 6-pan with the Nabla shadows with a look. I’m also super curious about the Merit shadows from someone who’s not a one-shadow look kind of person.
flower knows is amazing, one of my most favorite eyeshadow formulas! the packaging is 10000000 out of ten, I absolutely love it! blushes are indeed very faint and light, but can be built up quite nicely and they blur the skin , so I like to use the ones that are too light for me for my under eye area 😃 although I'm so pale, almost every light shade works for me lol and the lip products are so amazing, the formulas are just chefs kiss! the glosses from the mermaid collection are so comfortable and I usually hate gloss because my hair get stuck in it! not with this one though 😃 I'd love to see a video from you 💜
I could tell your eyeshadow look was Allie’s collab. Wish I hadn’t missed her live earlier. Oh well. Totally wanna grab this tomorrow. The fall colors are so beautiful.
Clarins is a great brand, but yall the copper peptides by Biossance is SO SO SO GOOD I notice a difference to my skin, the tone, and radiance RIGHT away. I LOVE IT. My skin hates Vit c
The next time you’re in Walgreens, check the candy aisle for circus peanuts. They’re shaped like peanuts and they’re orange. But for some reason they are banana flavored. It sounds like they might be close to your banana marshmallows.
flower knows makeup products have awesome packaging but the only things I would use I one cool toned eyeshadow pallet and lippies I found all the makeup is dedicated to very fair skin tones xx
That Scentbird perfume sounded amazing. I am also interested in the green colored tube of hair product. I will have to go back and rewatch to catch the name. I think we have similar hair types from what you described. I'd love to see some eye looks with the Juvia's Place. I really enjoyed the video.
My favourite perfume is italian summer fig by the body shop - it smells fruity but also grassy. If you can ever find it, I would recommend smelling it.
Claris AND Murad. Please give all those products a chance. Both wonderful effective brands. I've only tried a few products because they are not in my budget for more, but I wish I could. Yes, your 'trying all the eyeshadow pallette so we know which one we want is soooo true, and thank you ❤❤
Wait which NARS glowy foundation do you love? Good to hear your opinion about the Makeup by Mario concealer vs the Huda Faux Filter concealer. No one has done a comparison of the two but if you prefer that, I think I will also. Please update if you use the Revlon 330 and it's a good match because you and I are close in foundations when you're tan!
I would love to see a get ready with me using The Dot eyeshadow palettes please! I love GlamShop and cant wait to see what else creators from Poland can do.
I've heard so many good things about this clarins serum and I'm really interested what you will think of it, since most of the people mentioning it have dry skin, but I don't, and your recommendations usually work for me 🧡
As a Xennial who used to use her birthday wishes wishing that all her freckles would just merge together so I would be tan-it will never not be bizarre to me that people actually buy something to give themselves freckles.
I got the glossier foundation card too in my recent sephora order. I mixed the light and very light. I have normal to oily skin. It's ok. It settles into my smile lines after a few hours and gets oily if I don't powder it first. It's not bad but not my fave
“They did quiet down my curiosity, so I guess that is something.” Thank you, that is what I am going to tell my 41-year-old complexion about purchasing Fenty Highlighter during Ulta’s 21 Days. 😂🙏
I love the IGK Charcoal dry shampoo! I have an oily scalp and fine hair, so by the second day, my hair looks oily. The IGK Charcoal dry shampoo works wonders!
I wish I could've been more frugal during August, but between new releases from companies I've come to love and trust AND good sales on my HG products (literally bought FOUR Benefit PMB in Warm Auburn because they were 1/2 price and it's the only brow pencil that really works for this natural redhead), I spent A LOT of money. Ordered the new ND palette, the Adept Samarian Sunset and Minka palettes (bundle deal), an older PMcL palette that I wanted forever, a couple perfumes, the Danessa Myricks skin tint, a lighter shade of my Dior Backstage foundation, a couple blushes and the mini Givenchy Prisme Libre powder (plus a few other things). That being said, Ulta finally figured out my rewards points issues (what a nightmare THAT was!) so several big-ticket purchases were made with my points. Also it was the first time I bought any makeup (except replacing some daily-use items like mascara and lip gloss) in a long LONG time.
I have one of the glosses from the Flower Knows mermaid collection and I have a feeling you’ll like the formula. It’s kind of like a gloss/stain hybrid, it feels very cushiony and it has a cooling sensation on the lips, not like minty cool but like you put cool water on your lips. I don’t know how they did it but I love it
Hey I am not sure where you live but in Canada at my Shoppers Drug Mart there is an entire perfume line that has one note perfumes. Yuzu being one of them. I will note I have not smelled ANY of them I just saw them online because I saw a Freesia one..
I love that you are doing less of the new new or combining several products into one video. I keeping seeing thumbnails for other tubers who are only doing the new new and posting 7 videos a week about it and it's exhausting and I don't even watch those videos!
Could you try the Alter Ego Sakura pallet and Gourmond Girls Secret Grove pallet? I would like to see what you could create with both. I’m not as imaginative as you are and I have both pallets coming to me. Could you also try the clarins products and do an update on them? I’m considering purchasing them . I’m 45 and in need of a total face do over . Love you 🥰 and many blessing to you❤
Hi Angie, Clarins double serum is a really good “all in one” anti-aging serum. I used it at night. I also love Glow recipe, avocado retinol eye cream is my holy grail…between others.
JL Mango Thai Lime is one of my favorites. It's fresh and fruity and they didn't stick in sandalwood or vanilla or amber. It's clean without being too clean because it's very fruity. I've worn it for years now. Blessings!
You have the same fragrance profile as me, so I bought that Jo Loves perfume so fast as a birthday gift to myself. Mango and lime is my dream, so thank you ☺ Can I recommend to you Edition De Parfum Frederic Malle- Music for a While. It's my holy grail fragrance. It fruity but unisex still, its incredible!
It's funny seeing the Baptiste dry shampoo here, last week I was at the hairdresser and she said to another customer (I obviously don't need that kind of product) that that dry shampoo is crap, to not use it. But I don't know why. Ugh, I want to buy that Nars foundation so baaaad ! but staying strong on he no buy. I reeeaaaally don't need another foundation (I have 69...)
Have you considered using the melt powder under your bronzer instead of over? Just wondering if maybe that’s how they tested it and that’s why they didn’t note this issue in development.
Lánge has a dry shampoo spray that has a nice fresh scent. No white cast. And gives volume. I'd check that out if ur looking for a good dry shampoo. ❤❤
With foundations, if you buy one that is a bit too dark or too light, you can mix it with another one. I can't afford to not use the makeup I buy that is not perfectly suited to me. Thank you again Angelica for your wonderful videos.
