I have not seen any negative comments. My dad bought me Pokémon Pearl to reward me for graduating elementary school. I got bullied a lot that year and it was rough so my dad bought me a game that I really wanted to say how much we was proud. Pearl and Platinum helped me through a lot of tough times in my life and I’m forever grateful. Isn’t it crazy how a community can come together over just some nostalgic music. Love this so much.

Man, this was more of a ride than I thought it would be. I remember opening diamond for Christmas over a decade ago... where did the time go.

To think that we're going to hear this all over again in the remakes makes me so excited

playing these games while my 8 year old self was tucked under the bedsheet to hide from my parents late at night is one of the core memories i treasure in my mind and heart to this day over 15 years later. I had the volume on the 2nd to lowest setting so i could enjoy this amazing soundtrack that the developers and composers put so much heart into. Pokemon diamond pearl and platinum hold a special place in my soul that will always be greeted with the greatest nostalgia and peace and serenity when looking back on them. :')

Oh woah! You are someone like me then... I grew up with Gen 4 being the biggest part of my childhood. I suffer a lot of Nostalgia now listening to all the music. I am also pushing hard through medschool, right now going strong in 5th Year. This will give me the boost I need to study harder. Thank you a lot for this playlist. Gen 4 is a very imporant part of my life too. because its the first pokemon game I played and its still my favoutite. :` )

This music just brings me right back to a time where everything was right in my life. Not a single worry besides what was gonna be for lunch the next day at school. Just pure bliss and living in the moment. Would kill to feel like that again really.

I remember as a kid, I had trouble sleeping a lot, so I'd stay up late at night playing Pearl (and later Platinum). When I finally felt like I was going to fall asleep, I'd go to one of the lakes or Eterna Forest, plug my DS into the charger, and just let the music play and lull me to sleep. These games have the best atmospheric and calming tracks in the series, and I can't be convinced otherwise.

I just sit there and wonder where the last 13 Years went, when i first played this beautiful gem of a game. My first Pokemon Game. Simpler times where you where just a kid running through this grand world with your Pokemon and didn't even know what the best types or attacks where, but you enjoyed it anyway. Thank you. I remember playing these games years ago, my elementary school self hiding under the covers in my bed with my DS getting scared by the bomb in Lake Acuity. I remember the excitement when I finally beat Cyrus on top of the Mountain. The excitement when I beat Cynthia for the first time... it reminds me of a time long ago. I remember sitting with my DS watching the Anime when school was shut due to the snow and how the very same day I caught a weird looking Starly (turned out to be shiny, but I didn't know what those were at the time). I was a very lonely kid and admittedly I was very nerdy. I was good academically and I got bullied for it for many years so Pokemon, especially Pearl, became my escape. Gen 4 has been my favorite game because of it for as long as I can remember. I'd forgotten all about playing Pokemon as a kid until I found this in my recommended feed. A wave of nostalgia washed over me that I was not expecting and the memories all come flooding back. I'm still the same lonely, geekie person I was when I played these games but now I throw myself into my work instead of games and this just reminds me of how I used to have fun. Things like this seem so simple, but the feelings the spark, not just me but a lot of people my age, are appreciated more than you will ever know.

I've been listening to this playlist for a while every now and then, but with the news of the Gen 4 remakes today, I just knew I had to listen to it again!

Still the best game I've ever played, the amount of nostalgia that I get when I listen to these soundtracks is uncountable. I'm probably gonna cry.

Pearl was the first Pokémon game I played. I remember always watching my brother and my cousins play. I learned how to play from watching them, I learned what Pokémon were good and quickest routes everywhere. Pearl will always be special to me.

Gen 4 and 5 were peak pokemon, I miss it so much.

An old friend down the street gave me his Pokémon Pearl DS cartridge. I replayed it over and over. Good times.

I can recall back when I used to stay up playing Platinum and whenever I felt tired I’d fly back to my home town and just go to the lake and let the theme settle in and I’d drift off into a deep trance with my DS half open aswell as my eyelids, these indeed were simpler times.

I remember the times when me, my brother and two friends of ours used to play Diamond & Pearl all the time. We would even go out and play it on our street a lot when random kids came along who also had a DS and Pokemon DP with them. We traded Pokemon and had battles with complete strangers and it was so awesome back then. I really miss those days...

I'm only 15 and this made me cry from nostalgia. I can barely remember myself playing platinum on my aunt's DS and figuring out how to beat Roark with only a Chimchar. And Pokemon making up a large portion of my childhood made listening to this really special. Thanks for putting this video up. really made my day. :)

pokémon diamond, pearl and platinum is in my heart, for me they are the best pokémon games, when I hear this, I'm speechless, who hasn't played these games, I highly recommend, even their remakes, that even with all the polemica are amazing games, I'm having a lot of fun.

This playlist feels super nostalgic. Pokemon Diamond released when I was around 8 years old, so I must have been in 3rd grade. Sounds like a much simpler time. It's a bittersweet type of nostalgia; I know those were days I cherish until now, but I also know they are gone now and everything from back then only lives in my memory.

Platinum was the first game I ever had. I was 4 and I got it from my brother who had already played through it and cleared his save so that I could have a go. Nothing in my life will ever capture how magical this game was in my eyes. From capturing the lake legendaries to beating cynthia’s idiot fucking spiritomb I don’t know how many times to talking with the grumpy, emo Cyrus, every single event in this game captured everything that I could dream of at the time. The soundtrack was quite possibly the thing that really got me into the game back then. Always played with the volume on full blast for everyone to hear these bangers. To me, that particular game created a feeling that I don’t think will ever be replicated. My brother bought me a walk through with about 350 pages of pure nerd shit since he was so tired of having to take me through the game himself. Since I couldn’t play the game whenever I wanted , I spent hours on end staring at the contents of that book, waiting not so patiently for the next day so that I could play once again. My brother would be working in his room and I’d ask him if I could pick up his DS and play for a while, to which he would usually say no but on the days that he accepted, I would turn the volume all the way up and begin my adventure in a fantasy world like no other. To me, the most memorable part of this game was what I heard throughout. It’s not because it brings back memories that I call it memorable, since it was so long ago, but it was memorable in the sense that my ears remember the joy I felt back then. For the longest time, I believed that if any game were to be remade, I would want it to be diamond/pearl, but now that it’s here, I don’t really feel like I want to play it anymore. Not because the new style will ruin my enjoyment or the magic I felt in those days, but because I fear that the developers didn’t put the soul into this remake that they did with the original. Forcing themselves to follow a yearly deadline for a new game every year takes a toll, and it makes it hard to keep on making quality games. If anyone chances upon this comment and reads to the end, I thank you. I want to ask: should I play this new remake? Is it worth it? I don’t expect to feel the magic I felt back when I was 4, however I want to know if it satisfy my love for this game, or if it will leave me wishing there was more to it. Feel free to reply. Or not.

These games were something special. Peaceful, yet exciting. Melancholic yet not exactly sad or depressing. And with Sinnoh being the realm of ancient deities, the Lovecraftian horror of some of the legendaries was a welcome surprise.

Just the pure nostalgia each note pumps into me makes me wanna cry. This game pretty much came out when I was born and now I’m almost 17, it’s just crazy. It literally came out two years later than me, and it’s the first Pokémon game and really just game I ever played. It’s what has introduced me to the wonderful world of Pokémon and coming back to this music just hits my soul
