Remove your mounting bracket from the back side of your 12,000 BTU mini split and figure out the best place to mount it where you are on an outside wall and away from utility services since you're going to need to drill through the wall. level out the bracket in drill a pilot hole through the wall to visually inspect before drilling your two and a half inch hole. then, we recommend the spider bit for getting through the wall.

What is the measurement from the center point, to the spot to drill the hole? It's 7.25" from the screw, but what is the measurement from the center? - (I need to check the placement for the header & studs for mounting above a window) - Thank You

Hi Mike, there's actually room for improvement in this video, so we need to figure out how to write over a video and re-release this. The 7.25 in will work, but it's better to do 6.5 in from the right hand hole, or 6.75 in from the left hand hole. That gives you a little bit more room for the indoor unit to cover the whole without it being too close. Go to airspool.com/install for the details. And from the center, add 7 and 5/8 in to either of these two figures. That is, it's 7 and 5/8 in from the center to either of the holes on the left or right hand side of the mounting bracket.
