Thanks, I understand finally. I just picked up an accordion at an estate sale and I couldn't figure it out. It has a 12x4 bass but the first 4 rows are the same as your bass. What a brilliant instrument!

Sir, I am writing from Turkey, in our country there are thousands of accordion, adequately exercised that very little training video as you do can be called no Turkish, see enter you tube if you want, Binding, Revel, and I play though the violin at least 60 years old and the music I love, Accordion I got it right, I'm good at elimination, I did not solve the left, I do not speak English, I told you so well I'll try the bass sounds. Of course there are 12 Bass Notes & 48 Chords (Major, Minor, 7th, & Diminished) in total because what the inventor did rather cleverly is to have all the buttons that play the same Note/Chord move together, this way it's easier to reach.

As Joe Gancher writes - accordion bass goes UP in 5ths and DOWN in 4ths. Please teach well.

That tatty bass strap is probably a consequence of wearing a watch on the left arm. Using 3/2 (for bass/chord) is a waste of the 4th finger. 4/3 is much more logical, for instance, for alternating Root and 5th bass.

I have a 48 bass piano accordion, I really want to play one particular song, but it requires 7th chords. Is it possible to bypass this by playing for example C E Bb simultaneously and get the same effect as C7. Is it feasible?

Piano side is easy (maybe because I used to play the piano 15years ago, though I hated it as it never offered anything I want to hear), stradella side is hard Its even harder when you move the bellows and your left hand completly looses a sense of direction

What does the switches do? My accordion has five and I don’t know what they do!
