JordanAccordion teaches you music through the accordion, jams with all sorts of instruments, and shares the fun loving energy involved with being one who holds an accordion.
I appreciate you so much! 😂 I’m about to get in there and pray. I saw your sticky bass button video and unfortunately I need to find an accordion master. Hopefully this end works out better.
Have two keys which get stuck each time I play. C and F. It’s so irritating! Tried this but didn’t help - thank you anyway 👍maybe as my Settimio Soprani is 1939 so like most old stuff including its owner, it’s worn out!!
Here, I’ll help. As a classically trained musician, and performing for nearly all of my 52 years on this earth, I can attest that I could give a very fine concert of some of the worlds greatest music. And then some dude will come up and offer me $20 and yell “can’t you play Great Balls of Fire.?!” …soooo that’s the joke. I’ve worked my whole life to be a good musician only for someone to request a Taylor Swift song.
Glad to hear someone's glad I'm back! I checked that Denny's comp after the video, super stoked he's doing what he's doing. I'm definitely going to apply in the next competition.
Bro… this was such a treat, I was smiling ear to ear the entire time! 🥲 I appreciate you taking the time to make this and share it with your audience. Let’s connect ASAP please!! 📞❤🪗
I’ll have to encourage the organizers about booking a bowling alley or skate-park for the next Accordion Noir Festival if we ever ramp back up to big in person shows
Did you try the mashing the buttons technique? Once you've opened it you gotta take a screwdriver or something to unjam the correct note. (In the video it's called Technique 3: F*ck around with the gizmos)
Awesome! I absolutely love your channel! look forward to more uploads from you! Especially your tutorial videos. I feel like you explain things very well when it comes to a beginner like myself.
strange you talk about scales, took lessons for 6 yrs and was never taught the scales, i learned them by playing stuff from those old podgorski & vitalk ensnic polka stuff when you play those polkas in those books you are playing the scales no matter which key the song is written, i am Shure you never heard of this method, but it sure worked for me.
You were never taught scales in 6 years? That's the first thing I ever learned on piano or guitar. Though at the end of the day, I'm sure you'll learn them just fine intuitively by playing those song books instead
Lol, I can't believe it but this actually worked. As soon as I opened the thing, problem solved. I'm guessing someone had opened it previously and the key got jammed. The tone buttons were broken and I think on them was pressing down the valve.
Piano side is easy (maybe because I used to play the piano 15years ago, though I hated it as it never offered anything I want to hear), stradella side is hard Its even harder when you move the bellows and your left hand completly looses a sense of direction
Yup, three things at once. The piano side is super easy, especially if you have an intuitive sense of tone (which grows with time, anyway) The stradella, on the other hand, eventually becomes intuitive as a feel-thing, not as a hear-thing. You have to really practice it.
I have.Hohner Imperator IV Piano Accordion 11 +1 couplars which was working in top codition up to jan 2021 perfect. Now the 3rd oct 36,37, 38, 39, 40, 41 is getting leaking and all the keys sounds together and the leather packing got hardened and not closes. I love this Instrument very much and now i am terribly upset. There is no service technician available in India. Can i send you the treble side alone to you by Air parcel post to your address by Registered Air mail post parcel and get it repaired to my abbress back. Of course there are 12 Bass Notes & 48 Chords (Major, Minor, 7th, & Diminished) in total because what the inventor did rather cleverly is to have all the buttons that play the same Note/Chord move together, this way it's easier to reach.
Thank you for adding the actual notes and intervals etc by means of a chart. This is the first video after watching dozens that has made it clear as to what values and intervals are. This has now explained it to me. Thanks so very much 👌🌌🌠
Dispite some of your unappreciative listeners and non-chromatic accordion players I truly not only enjoyed but very much appreciate your willingness to share your talents. My wife just stated (being French of course) if I can learn to play what you shared she would be thrilled since that style of accordion was heard in her home as a child. If you have any sheet music please send it my way. mmcdobro@gmail.com thanx
Hello Jordan new sub here, this is really great stuff !! Im thinking about starting learning to play, what do u think is a good accordion for beginners , what bass system ?Thx !
Welcome aboard the accordion train! I recommend the stradella bass and going with a learner's size of a standard accordion... basically, what you see in this video
omg, you are awsome!!!! I've been searching for a tutorial like this for quite a while and you explained it perfectly! I used to play synthesizer so that part was the only thing I didn't understood. Now I'm playing Dirty old town, my first song on accordion, and thanx to you, I can also play bass/chords. Thank you so very much!
