No 22 has to do what is best for her, Kudos to the young lady for making the hard decision. Now the ball is in WNBA and Fevers court. What they do next is paramount to their survival of their team and league. No 22 has exposed a lot of inconsistences in the overall leagues product, if they are going to survive they need to make some drastic changes on how the game is played, and the product that is produced.

I’m 72 and grew up playing ball in the 60’s. I watched Clark’s games because it was movement and flow basketball. She has phenomenal court awareness that gets her entire team involved. She is the maestro that orchestrates the symphony of her team. Her Seth Curry like shots brings an excitement to every game and spreads the floor allowing for the movement of the ball. I am not watching because the referees are either corrupt and on the take or just completely incompetent. The rules of the game are taught and enforced at every level but not in the WNBA. Some of the thuggish behavior directed at her should have resulted in heavy fines and termination. The Commissioner’s office is incompetent. Adam Silver needs to clean that mess out of existence. So if you want me to watch call it like a real basketball game not a thug fest enabled by incompetent referees.

WNBA wanted what she brought to the game but also wanted to control her, to dampen her brightness, to put her in her place, to make her submit to their control by trying to remind her, “You don’t have a career without the WNBA”. So they conspired to suppress her abilities through technical fouls for slightest infringement & allowing other players to bully her on the court while NOT calling technical fouls, by the Commissioner always emphasizing other players contributions while down playing hers. Glad she’s going to Europe & hope WNBA goes back to Spirit Airlines, shitty hotel accommodations, brown bag lunches & obscurity.

She reversed herself after initially saying she would stay with the Fever. I have never before had any interest in the WNBA, but I found myself anticipating the RU-vid highlights of the Fever games. She was warned that the transition from college would be tough, but it was more than that. It looked as if other players intentionally made it tough in unnecessary and deliberate ways. I hated to see her leave, especially since the team was coming together and she was showing such class. As many others have commented, my interest in the WNBA was short lived. I’ll not be watching again.

So my son, 8, started basketball because of CC. After 35 years of not watching even an NBA game, I watched her and was amazed…the BOYS are now shooting 3s and saying CC as they do it…yesterday I shopped for basketball shoes for my son, 2 pairs in fact. Everytime NIKE popped up, I skipped them faster than a CC bounce pass. $178 for a pair of Nike basketball shoes? Size 4 kids? 😂😂 anyhow, I refuse to buy anything Nike because of how they treated this girl.
