Yes, kids do love this, a great way to keep them entertained. It is difficult to make the adjustment from feeding a big family, to one or two, my Mum struggles with this too :)
These are great Gemma. I often make a breakfast in a mug, here is my favorite: 1 Egg 1 Tbsp Sugar 2/3 C Milk 1/3 C + 1Tbsp All-Purpose Flour 1/4 tsp Salt I cook it for about 2 minutes on high in a 1600 Watt microwave. I'm not really sure what to call it, but its a very slightly sweet sort of custardy thing.
four years later in 2020 i tried making ur recipe and ur right it’s a little hard to name it it tastes like pancakes a little but it’s mostly just custardy. i added a little vanilla

HanBroman I'm in America. LOL We have those types of sweet stuff (french toast & blueberry muffins) for breakfast all the time. You can find it on the breakfast menu at many many restaurants, and if you stay at a hotel, the breakfast bar is full of muffins.

Eating another cinnamon roll one. I never do the icing, I just eat the cake fresh from the microwave, when it's still warm. It kills all my "want something sugary" urges easily and with less guilt than if I bought something. Well, actually it's delicious, and better (specially moistier) than anything you can buy at a shop.

For your video that includes the mug brownie... it needs to be worked on. I made it exactly how you did (even looked at your measurments) and it was gross. It feels like it's really missing something. It was also very strong!

I'm not a fan of microwave meals because they always end up dry and chewy at the outside and still mushy in the middle. But I have to say some of these recipes look tempting enough to give it another try. Maybe I should try cups of a different geometry?

I just made these using my oven toaster lol It came out delicious! I didn't use mugs tho bcos the middle will be raw plus I don't have a mug XD I just made a little square tin using aluminum foil.

One of the reasons i havent made things like these in a while is because it jusy me to eat these things. i love single serving baked goods. Changes my mentality of baking, like used to thinking big batches.
In your video you put 1/2 tsp Maple Syrup and 1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract. In your recipe above there is no vanilla extract and Maple Syrup is 2 tablespoon. Your online recipe is also like that.

Was honestly doubting this a little bit, but I made the blueberry muffin (and added some chocolate chips...) and it is honestly the BEST mug recipe I’ve ever tried. It had the exact muffin texture, and, to me, it was better than most muffins I have tried (including Starbucks muffins). Highly recommend!
