A recommendation for anyone trying this themselves! For a more canon-accurate look, cut out a small triangle in the front of the gauntlet (about the width of your wrist) that extends about 2-3 inches back, and place a separate flat piece of foam there. This flat part should sit right on top of your wrist and gives it a more seamless gauntlet-to-glove change :D Good luck for anyone making their own clone armor!
hot glue failed me on high stress parts like guantlests a lot of times, I don't reccomend it. Contact cement is usually stronger then foam itself, so there is little chance of it failing during the con
@@fade_xtanimationsect I bought a cardboard template for Hunter's helmet for 15$. When I began to build it, it began to look awful. Usually, my art and creations are nice, but the dude who made them and the tutorial video was no help at all.
i have some tips for scaling it! if you take your height in inches (for example, i am 169 cm so about 67 inches tall) and divide it by the height of the creator (says on the full armour pattern he is 6"0 so 72 in) you will get the percentage to print the template at--so for me, 67/72 = 0.93 so i print the template at 93% size. if you know you have (for example) very skinny arms, you can always try making a paper template or trimming your foam before you glue it to make sure it fits you. and you can always just add lots of padding on the inside!
