Its really helpful to watch videos like this. i played 5 years on edit on realise i switched because i get killed so many times because i cant peek without getting hited.
I have just come back to Fortnite a few months ago. The last time I played was at the Travis concert like over 3 years ago and I was playing on my PS4. I did play KBM on the PS and I had some settings. After coming back I spent days figuring out what the best settings and keybinds would be. But at the end of the day it is important to use something that's intuitive. I was so used to these binds that they were the only ones that allowed me to be consistent in high-pressure situations. In other settings, I did well in creative but not in pubs. If Peterbot can be such a demon on edit on release, then I see no reason to force myself to change.
Thanks for inspiring me to switch to edit on release off, its been like 2 weeks and I'm already faster than I was before with better crosshair placement!
Wow brother iam glad I will do the same as well but iam practicing it feels way more consistent and fast rather than turning it on but off I getting used to it as well pretty and my crosshair placement is getting better with edit on release off I saw myself huge improvement I hope this everyone as well.
Good work never give up keep it up your crosshair placement and your consistency will get better and fast over by time so iam glad this worked for you.
i got back into the game recently(last time i played was over 2 years ago) and found it incredibly difficult to get the timings and everything down with eor off and tried it on for the first time, and learned a ton of new mechanics. i have been terrified of turning it back on but finally tried it and the raiders map helped me so much. i think it would be interesting to do a video explaining some basic freebuild moves and how they apply in game :) cheers mate
I wanna switch to edit on release off but the new season is 11 days and I’ll only have 5 days to practice since I’m on vacation but I don’t wanna be bad when I play the next season because stark industries is finally returning and I wanna dominate
i switched in like chapter 4 season 2, and it was hella worth it. im faster than on eor, my crosshair placement is so much better, and im overall better.
Yo howl im around 2 weeks in to edit on release off and i need some help getting better at it ive watched your vid a few times tried some of the things you did and seem to have hit a skill cap any tips? im beggining to get a bit frustrated because i havent seen much improvement please help.

I have eor off since 4 days and i have had some really good improvement now i have to get down onto the more advanced mechanics. Imo edit on release on is only good if your aim is really good and you have really fast editing
i have been wanting to switch for a while but i hate not being able to hit clips thats whats stopping me and i alr know i will be able to soon but idk also i dont want to quit ranked for a bit cause im almost unreal after i hit unreal im prob also gonna do a switch

Am controller am still extremely amatuer and I have pretty solid binds thaf I have got used to over about 4 days and they way i hold my controller while playing claw doesn't allow to have separate fingers on the select and confirm cuz my select is right bumper and confirm right trigger
So my friend has been playing on Eor off for years but I’m still faster then him with eor on, idk if I shld switch, I’ve been going in creative for like 20 minutes to warm up without eor on then turning eor on to play arena and it made me much more consistent. I watch pros and I see edits that I do at twice the speed cuz I have eor on so idrk what to do
yea i switched a week ago but 2 months iswitched also but i went back to confirm edit but a week ago i swthed to it off and i am happy that i switched to it
Half the clips in the vid with edit on release off you wernt behind a peak at all. A full piece exposed from a dorito, middle window standing right in the middle to full piece. So speed and oppenent skill has alot to do with it on or off?
So I have a bad pc and have eor on bc I feel so slow overall and I feel with my position I’m better to have it eor on as even in game with my fps I can barely triple with eor on bc of input delay and inconsistent frames. Do you believe I should try and use eor off? Or stick to having it enabled?
@@jenko.1739 i dont think double binds is necessary i would just use f for both and i think eor off will still benefit you but im not sure how that plays into your pc delay situation so i cant really say which would be better for you.
So basically when I first saw ur video about switching to edit on release off I did it too. I repped it out for about a week and half and made a little bit of progress. But in between that progress, I would get frustrated with how my skill is with it, choking edits in arena, causing me to die, and getting done up by my friends. So I made my switch back to confirm edit on release and I’ve reached i point where my mechanic are very good but just need to work on my aim. I have good confidence and fighting skills making protective peeks and killing people easily in arena. Based on my current position, what do you think I should do?
gl, focus on getting your edit timing down over tryna be fast. the speed will come once u get the timing down. if u just go for speed right away without having the timing you’ll be inconsistent
if you plan on playing comp i would wait until epic goes on their two week break (after placement cup) and grind it out so you can be ready for when tournaments come back. if you play alot of pgs and freebuild you should be able to get pretty comfortable with it off. if not you can always wait until offseason. doesnt need to be changed instantly, you could always wait until the offseason (just good to have off in the long run).
@@howlfym like what I’m trying to say is that if how fast your editing the floor is going to effect in pressing the edit button to which leads to a door placing but I think I’m getting better with it now/ and thx for the video it helped me A LOT Thank you
Ive been playing kbm for 3 months and my mechs were good i was able to freebuild and just got my first quadruple edit down! But then i see the pros of eor off and switched to it and now i can barely do a double edit and cant do my edit/piece control tunnels smoothly anymore! Any tips?
I don’t know if i need to switch. I don’t have a lot of time to practice so i can’t really focus on getting better on edit on release off. Do you think i need to switch or stay on edit on release on?
response from controller friend: EOR OFF is better comp wise, with it ON u can be just as fast if not faster with low effort (less buttons) just struggle being optimal in peeks
