Hey guys!! I cannot believe baby girl has been earthside for one month already!! Time is flying by but at the same time I cannot remember life without her. In today's video I share some updates on baby Lily- growth, feeding and sleeping habits, development, etc- as well as some short updates on how I am recovering postpartum! Lily is alot like my daughter was when she was a baby with the acid reflux, being on me all the time to sleep, very needy baby. It is exhausting when you're the only one taking care of the baby all day and night long, and I had a son to take care of as well. So I feel for you, Jen. It will get better as she gets older. For me, though, my daughter continued to be a needy baby, it was just her personality. She's 26 and still a needy mamas girl. Lol. Hang in there. You're doing a great job with your children. I remember when the boys were little, you had someone come clean your house for you every other week or so. Do you think that would be an option again for you to make it easier on you? Im looking forward to seeing more videos of your day in the life showing Lily and what shes doing as well as Jack and Ben interacting with their sister.

It sounds like she probably has oral ties. That can cause exactly the kind of issues latching that you’re describing. I would seek out a pediatric dentist that can diagnose and revise the ties.

Just got to the part where you said the pediatrician doesn’t think she has ties. Unfortunately pediatricians aren’t good at recognizing and diagnosing them. My second son had very severe tongue and lip ties and no one we saw diagnosed them until we saw a trained IBCLC and pediatric dentist.

We have a pediatric dentist the boys go to. They are due for a cleaning in July and I am going to try and get her evaluated too

@@Justjenstone make sure it’s a pediatric dentist who is knowledgeable about ties and does releases with a laser. Many don’t know much about ties and don’t do releases.
