I hope you get everything planned out of the Subaru, they are a great car if you are prepared to be watchful over it and keep it well maintained. We have used their engines in auto gyros and, when you are in the middle of nowhere in Australia and wringing the guts out of the motor in 45 degree temperatures, hanging off the propellor, the reliability is something that you can really count on.

Engine sounds great pal, you must be feeling great knowing you've done such a good job with the rebuild, and i bet you're really excited now to get in and start driving, its a pretty smart looking car for an estate, and will be a great addition to both channels.
I brought a Toyota Camry with a blown head gasket. I disassembled the engine and took the parts to my machine shop. I did have to buy one new head on the V6 but the lower block was in fine shape. The machinist called me and told me that I had to replace one head at about $700.00 US but it would be well worth it because this one year halfway, Toyota had put a Lexus engine in to have higher horsepower than the top Nissan Maxima. This was only done for 6 months until Toyota came out with a different version that wasn't as powerful nor as reliable. That car is still on the road 50,000 plus miles later and as far as a factory car, it's very strong and fast. I got lucky without even knowing what I had at first. It was money well spent.
Bloody Subarus! I know they make great engines but, they always sound like they've got a miss on one cylinder to me. Glad it's all coming together for you. You built the engine and from my own experience I know how much that extra care and degrees of precision and attention to detail can make. All the best for a long and happy relationship with her.
One of my golf buddys hired a legacy turbo estate on holiday in new zealand . Although in his early 60's the Escort rally boy racer came quickly back and the 8 mile round trip to the shops , on roads he described as crushed flat maltesers, was the highlight of the holiday . Not the white water rafting or the bungee jumping 😂
A valuable life lesson for you. Don't make timeline predictions unless you know they're going to happen. Yes you're impatient however telling your audience time after time "next weekend" won't make things happen any quicker than they will especially where there are unknowns in the equation. Your boss will always say e.g. "We'll be getting on with this as soon as the parts arrive." because he knows that there are always circumstances beyond his control. Finally just an observation. You're always much more relaxed on the main channel. Take a look for yourself. Relax and enjoy it.
Don't panic about the transmission judder either. I've corrected the same issue on those models by draining and redilling the transmission. As lond as the shift points are correct, and the car starts off without slipping, the new fluid may be the cure. All I've done is drain and refill, have the customer drive 100 miles or so, and repeat.

@@BarumBTS when the ignition is turned on, all the lights on the instrument cluster are illuminated. This tests all the light globes. If one doesn’t work guess what doesn’t get turned on? Yes, the alternator charging circuit. I could not believe that Subaru designed such an idiotic circuit. This was on a 2002 Liberty/Legacy wagon/estate.
Rob here from NZ always watch the Barum videos , and might I say that EJ 20 sounds good ,done dozens of them over here as we had jap imports way earlier ,late 80s as I recall ,another very popular seller here was ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, R 32 Nissan Skylines ,normal retail on those,depending on spec $ 12k or 6k pounds most trajically have ,been crashed or wrecked ( Dismantled ). Those centre difs are the reason they are so heavy to push around the workshop ,be super careful about tyre circumferences,being constant 4WD ,ALL THE BEST.,,,,,, Rob
Sensible to not rush collecting the Subaru is still an unknown quantity so best let an expert find the niggly faults first especially if the car has not been looked after. Definitely leave the car as standard as possible and not waste money modding it, it’s impressive as it is for those who know…. Also tip for video presentation… give a clarification at the start about the car and any businesses etc. you are talking about, don’t assume everyone knows about “the Subaru”, “Chris”, “the injectors”….. you need to bring new viewers up to speed on the story so it’s not just random….
