Love the TE/Fuji spec. Their the fastest RCFs made around a track to date with the highest baseline to start. To note the engineers focused on reducing unsprung weight since any weight that can be removed from the mass not supported by the suspension pays huge dividends in handling and steering feel. Also they where focused on a more pro track feel with the TE/Fujis which is why this car removes things like TVD due to the penalty of weight and focused on downforce and drag co. With LFA Carbon ceramic brakes, a 6-60 at 3.96 seconds far faster than the models before it; this thing was the most impressive RCF to date that caught my attention and Lexus engineers really took the weight savings and better gear accelerating ratios of the 2020 RCFs and pushed it further for track use with these models. All thats needed it wider tires ....square them and get some CUP2s with some headers and you have such a treat with this car. Then you drive home putting this thing in the atkinson cycle and it doesn't even know it has a v8. If your in the market for a high reving modern NA car this is a great option to try out for yourself ( doesn't have to be a TE also i would say 2020+ are fantastic years to grab up due to the enhancements but there all gems) ...also do yourself a favor dont spec drive it get in the seat and experience it! Chose this over a M4GTS and it changed my mind over RCFs from driving prior ones. Kudos and great video! This car weighs as much a M2 now and a less than a typical M4 now unlike its past RCF variants. You still will get smokes in a straight line by M4CPs but its a car that you really just mechanically appreciate for different reasons which is why i pulled the trigger on one : ).
I saw one of these in person a couple of weeks ago. That Electric Surge blue is to die for! The one unfortunate thing about this car is the price. I really would just stick with the standard RC F with the carbon package and save myself $20k. But in person, I will say, the carbon fiber bits like the wing and the diffuser and especially the blue accents on the inside are beautiful. I don't know if it's for me, but it is a cool car. Very expensive, but cool. Thanks for the tour. 😊
This car really missed the mark on what could of been. I feel like it would have sold much better if they went all out on being a fun drivers car and spent a bit more time in r & d to release a manual version seeing how its out performed by its competitors (m4, rs5, c63 etc.). This alone would elevate the car on so many levels and make it stand out from the crowd. Hopefully Lexus will consider something like that before completely retiring their 5.0 engine.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed doesn’t matter if it was used.. plenty of used rare cars dealers won’t let a random even touch. Ive been watching you guys for 6-7 years. Really glad I got to see you guys grow and do what you love.
@808dms I have a lot more seat time and performance driving in the Supra. I can’t say for sure how the RCF is, but this one still being 300+ pounds heavier then the Supra. Supra should handle much better. The RCF is more of a GT sports car
Not the worst to be honest. There are some Supras out there in the $45 range for sale! They are reliable cars, so some miles won't be bad on a nice 2020
