In this video, I review a stunning 1969 Oldsmobile Hurst Olds.
For the 1969 model year, Oldsmobile teamed up with Demmer Engineering and Hurst Shifters to create one of the baddest muscle cars of all time. Before 1970, General Motors had a displacement limit on intermediate cars like the Cutlass. A-bodies could not have a motor displacing more than 400 cubic inches. In the ever-growing power wars of the muscle car era, 400 cubic inches was simply not enough to satisfy the hot rodder's appetite for speed. 906 Cameo White Cutlasses were sent to Demmer Engineering to have the mighty Olds 455 installed. 380 horsepower, 500 ft-lb of torque in an intermediate sized car matched with a specially calibrated TH400 transmission was a recipe for speed like the world had never seen before. And Dino's 1969 H/O is one of the cleanest, most original examples still in existence.
