I love Emerald! Hahn's macaws are awesome! Great size, this 'dwarf' macaw is an easy, great size!
She's full of spunk and personality and is super-smart!
Her coloring is so striking red, just impressive! Yes, she's a little loud, but is loving and curious. She talks well and does a couple tricks.
Diet - like other parrots, we give her fresh foods (greens - which she won't touch with a ten-foot poll!- veggies, whole grains and limited fruit. This is often served as eggfood- plus, as a macaw, she gets a couple nuts every day as treats - since nuts are a require part of a macaw diet.
What a great companion! Perfect for a big-bird personality, but an easy size. She may be too loud for an apartment - Hahn's macaws are less expensive than larger macaws and require less space and food than larger macaws, which can make them more economical to keep.
