Nice one. I had to stop the video and to re-watch the performance video because I didn't think I had been fooled that much. I love how our brains only see what we think we see!
@@gaffedacademy I still can't believe that you blatantly show both sides of a double face and our brains accepts it! This isn't a magic channel, it's a human phycology channel!
@@Colin_Holloway The way this is done here you are 100% correct it would not work in most situations and if anybody says it works their audience is probably being nice to them. However if you learn the original handling from the copyrighted, published material under the same name You will have success, and you will understand a lot more about the psychology to making it work properly.
Thanks for speding the time teaching this- I learnt the three card monte with bent corner switch at the end- which is great but the big problem is that a clean table is required- the stand up monte is a stunner- lots of moments of visual magic and in the spectator's hands- it doesn't get stronger than that.
@@gaffedacademy If your audience is at a level where this will fly, they are either being nice to you or you are using a lot of misdirection to cover the discrepancies found in this handling. Again trust me I kind of know what I’m talking about.
You should probably not use the name Stand Up Monte if it’s a different routine, I would suggest just calling this “Gaffers Monte” Then there’s “no problem”
Hi man my one of my favourite RU-vidrs and you helped me a lot for being creative thank you 👍 and could you please do a tutorial on a impromptu miracle I would like that a lot
Gaffer. I have a quick request/question. I'm finally putting the time to learn your routine. I'm still working on the moves on or around 4:51. In the mean time what I'm doing is when I pull the pull the red card (3D in my case) out of my pocket I mix the cards so the true red and black cards are on top (My cards are 3D and AS). AS's face up are double AS on the bottom. I'm having a hard time making it look like I'm putting the AS on top of the deck. Any recommendations? And if the guest picks the right card on top after the move, could you recommend a good patter? With the wife, I gave her the "You were due to get one right" And then I finished the trick. I really appreciate you Gaffer. I'm obviously old guy trying to entertain my kids/family. Stay well my friend.
@@gaffedacademy Sorry to bug you. I shouldn't send questions after too many pints lol. It was the 50/50 move (5:40 in your tutorial) that I don't think I was that convincing when doing the move. I figured if the guest guesses the correct card on top of the deck, I congratulate them, and the trick continues to completion. Always appreciate you. Thanks again!
Hi Gaffer! Excellent video. Any recommendations on how to practice the turn/flip. I'm having a hard time visualizing from the video. Any input would be appreciated. Stay well!
Great tutorial though I think I'd have to stop at the point where you're about to put the six in the pocket! I was practising this yesterday and getting so confused as to where I had the double facer in the pack of three once I'd done the first reveal. I'd never cope with four cards! Any hints welcome! Thanks
Yeahhhhh, Sir GAFFS-a-Lot! Glad I have YT Premium-I had to DOWNLOAD this so I can ignore my family for the next WEEK to memorize these MOVES. This is the TOPPER-most of the POPPER-most , Pete!!! 👏👏👏👏👏 LOVE - IT!!! 👞💥⚡️
@@gaffedacademy If you change the routine it is no longer Stand Up Monte. It is just another Monte routine, The concept of stand up is that you do not use a table, and here you are clearly using a table and not standing up. I think you should trust me that I know a lot more about this effect than you can imagine.
@@gaffedacademy I understand but you’re calling this Stand Up Monte and changing the handling, That is kind of like saying you have a Ferrari for sale, but it’s really a Ford and you try to explain to people you just call your Ford a Ferrari.
