Yoooooooo Rod is a legend. Coached me at the Cal basketball camp when I was eighth grader going into high school. I had no idea that I was actually good cause I never played AAU and all that. He hyped me up & let me know I could really play. I went on to play all four years of high school & community college. Shoutout Rod & Richard Midgely.

Yes, Rod was a good interviewee, but Skeetsy, well done on being a good interviewer. As anybody who has the kind of job that has led to them mainlining hours of podcasts for years, there are so many people whose job it is to do longform audio interviews that are not good, or even straight-up bad, at it. Even very successful ones! (Shout out to the OG Marc Maron, and the new king Conan O'Brien) So kyewwww-dos on the interviewing.

Back in the BoomTho era, Rod was offering 2 free tickets to D League games. I took advantage of that here in Sioux Falls and watched him play. Only beef with this pod, Sioux Falls is in SOUTH Dakota, not North Dakota! But seriously, great listen, and I have the book on my To Be Read.

Holy cow! This took me back. I remember reading both your blogs all the time on Ball Don’t Lie. You two got me into reading basketball blogs on the daily. I remember Rod’s final one where he explained he’d have to stop blogging because NBA executives weren’t keen on it. I was heartbroken.
