Alex thank you so much for this, I think the community has been requesting this for some time so it shows that you definitely listen and we appreciate it!
Dude you are may favorite commentator, "that feels like a sad move - your friends have a lot of fun with the party but, a you need to call the cops on them"...! Thats a big one right there
So you don't understand irony either. Why didn't you list the plethora of mistakes then? Maybe English isn't your first language and if so, I apologize for the comment.@@ireallydontlikethecold7887
As opposed to being your favorite figure, huh? Literally does not equate to equate to "really," so stop teaching Vlad the Impaler (capital I, as it is a proper noun). Almost there buddy, maybe one day you'll log onto the internet and decide to not be a complete a$$hat.@@jaekn
You know what I’ve been playing the kings Indian and thank you so much for explaining the A5 move is to create a strong outpost for your knight on the queen side I’ve never understood before but it makes complete sense can’t wait to start using this in these positions.
I can always get a decent setup and sometimes advantage out of the opening, but the middle game plans tend to be tricky and I run out of ideas sometimes. I needed this video
Alex, the Chess spoke for itself and you also. You have an amazing manner of presentation. You are the total package and I will enjoy watching your channel grow while learning from you at the same time.
Thanks man. I started with London switched to jobava loved it. Was doing kings Indian for all black learned a couple opening moves of caro for king pawn. Absolutely love the caro. Now this video further help me. Can't thank you enough. 👍
Love your videos man! I myself started to play King's Indian without knowing much about what to do after e5😂, so you helped a lot, thanks! And also I really like how you explain all ideas during the game, your humor makes me remember all moves much quicker haha
I don't know how you managed to make the King's Indian of all things easily digestible and understandable, but you did it. Another excellent video. Is it possible to try to play games with increment in the future? You are clearly able to outspeed lower rated players in a time scramble but since so a lot of your time is spent explaining the ideas to us you end up with much less time than expected and no increment leads to a lot of unnecessary losses.
Man, I love your videos. It feels like you're reading my mind as I'm never able to finish my "Yeah, but what about..." sentence without you explaining it.
Dang man, I love your commentary! Lol, low key funny and no silly clickbait pix! Oh, and I found you when I looked for the Jobava, and now I am just watching whatever you put out, it just happens to be the King's India! This is very refreshing after wathing the "other" mainstream Chess content creators.
Yikes! I'm at beginner level (after a lifetime of playing bad chess) trying to follow game 3, move for move, as you explain strategy! Fascinating to see this ELO play and in a truly instructive context. This is my prep for your KID rating climb and still working on your Caro-Kann videos. Great stuff. Thanks, man, it's a life line!
The first game is an excellent example of how the black squares on the queen side are used when the opponent makes a mistake. White's a4 move is a pure misunderstanding of the position because he is not familiar with black's a5 move and what it is for.
I found the last game the most instructive. Everyone I play brings the dark squared bishop out like this. Its rare I see any other lines at 1200ish rapid level. However, all these games were extremely instructive.
Thanks for a really informative look at the King's Indian. Instead of running out of time due to lengthy commentaries is it possible to add the audio track after the game has been played ? And maybe even stop the video to accommodate extra chat... Then we would get a true idea of thinking time plus explanation. What ever, thanks Alex.
Cool 1hr video with good games that give insight to my fav and first opening i learned. Helped me understand it more and play better. Now requesting video playing against kings indian defense, and playing kings indian attack as white. Subscribed❤
really thank you, some time ago i asked you about teaching us what to do when white doesnt open with e5 and here you go, i don't know if it's just a coincence or you actually saw my comment but thank you very much 🙏
after viewing it again, never have I not had the king for white castles and fen-keto bishop or d3, so takes away allot of your format from this game I never get some one that plays like this, here's hoping, love your play and how you present.
Great video. You were talking about how at first you thought your opponent was cheating because he did everything right , but then he fell apart? That's how I am after studying your videos... great setups, but then I fall apart toward the end. I think a lot of your viewers may feel similar.
15:35 Re8 is bad no ? Opponent could have played O-O-O, and if Bxe5 Bxe5 Rxe5 then Rd8+ fork gets back the bishop. Therefore, I thought Bxe5 first would have won the piece with Bxe5 Re8 f4 f6
Will there be a chessable course sometimes in the future for a black "non-1.e4" opening? Already am playing your london as white, and your caro kann as black again 1.e4, and would love to have also an Alex Banzea opening for 1.d4 :D For people on the fence I can recommend everything on chessable Alex has put out. Best courses on chessabe imho.
Did I hear you right Alex in suggesting that we usually shouldn't be looking to trade off the light-squared bishop when playing the King's Indian as black? I know that typically a bishop is a bit nicer than a night, but I heard elsewhere the opposite advice... ?
15:40 does O-O-O get white out of trouble? with the idea being to retaliate with rd8 winning back the piece, as well as unpinning the knight to shut off a move like Nc6
15:36 long castle by white and you will also lose the white squares bishop, then your knight and other rook will be more stucked than his other rook and bishop...
The need to learn the KID for me came from the fact that my opponent as white can play 1: Nf3 and completely throw me off my Caro and Benoni defense set up.
Could you cover the saemish variation?(1d4 nf6 2.c4 g6 3.Nc3 Bg7 4.e4 d6(wich is the move that I have generaly played, Ik O-O is also possible but I feel like the saemish can come anyways) 5.f3
