@jeffg3895 , no I am not, but many hikers are. I add meat to it when I can. When I can't get my instant Refried beans I often eat instant potatoes with tuna in oil.

@@callofadventure6733 Nice. I have like 25 pounds of jerky and Smoked salmon vacuumed sealed. I bought my own freeze dried meats off of Costco’s website and created my own meals like curry chicken, chili, shredded pork tacos, and fajitas etc.

22lb base weight. My last resupply was 8lbs. I'll get better at deciding just how much food to carry.

I'm sure there will be plenty of snow in the sierras for all of us. San Jacinto looks sketchy so I'm gonna skip it this year.

@@callofadventure6733 oh my god, you just remember who I am. Thank you for the water reports but I plan on getting out there. May the 15th I was out there last year. I already height all southern California, Northern California, Oregon. I'm going to start at the desert because I actually enjoyed it, but I hope to be up to the Sierra's bye June the 15th. Hoping the snow is gone this year. Love to see you remember me money stash

@chrisbrewer8623 Of course I remember you. Remember the mess of blisters and tissue on your heels? I have a bit of that happening now. Hopefully I can fix it up before it gets as bad as you had. Keep a positive attitude and make good decisions (I do OK with the first, I struggle with the latter).
