And another tip from me: When you hook a high health target like hog or sig, don’t melee after you hook, and the melee will only kill 1/10 times. Just fire a second shot, as it will kill much faster.

Another tip I use vs Mei, if she is freezing you while you are walking away, you can do a 180 hook

Another tip for fighting zenyatta: don’t be afraid to engage him, he has no escape ability, so it isn’t risky to chase him down. Taking out just one healer can cripple a whole team

and the idea to stand in his face will tend to scare him and make him sprint away *soldier running whilst crying*

An alternate tip for ball is to stay directly under him when he is about to smash down since hooking him would be extremely easier due to him going down in a straight line.

Hog’s hook is insanely op and I see too many hogs not knowing this stuff. You can hook Dva out of calling her mech(but you have to time this perfectly), you can hook Sigma out of his ult, you can potentially hook Rein out of his ult but as with Sombra you have to anticipate it. And the last one is you can reliably hook an enemy hog out of his Whole Hog

Tip: don’t heal in sig ult, hook him out to help everyone

Another small but useful tip against D.Va and more importantly Sigma is while they are using their absorb abilities, instead of waiting for the ability to finish, use melee to get some damage in. Instead of staring at Sigma's toes next time, slap him in the knees with your hook.

More tips. Vs D.Va, you can hook baby D.Va as she is re-meching while she's in the animation and it cancels it, preventing her from re-meching. Vs. Sigma, if he ults you (or you + anyone on your team), if you have hook up, you can hook him while everyone is in the air and it will cancel his ult channel it before he slams everyone down. Vs. Baptiste, with good secondary fire spacing, it only takes 2 shots from 2ndary fire (if you space the blast to detonate point-blank with the generator) to kill it very quickly and bait the enemy team into walking into it anyway thinking they're safe General tip: If you hook someone that isn't one-shottable with your combo (even with a preemptive primary/secondary shot), just don't melee. Continue using the scrap gun, because the recovery time after melee to be able to fire again is MUCH longer than the time it takes for a 2nd shot to come out. I kill bastions like this most often. Two primary shots come out a lot faster than a shot -> melee, and if the melee doesn't kill you have a long time to wait before you can fire again.

When going for hook kills in the middle of a fight, be mindful of how much ammo you have left. It sounds obvious but there are so many times where I couldn't finish off a kill because I had to reload after my hook.

It's weird to see cyx being so profesional after watching his videos Also bonus tip is if one of your teamates (mainly supports) is going to take cover or do something important and is being focused you can bodyblock them with your take a breather and usualy be left with half of your hp, but be mindful of the situation and be carefull with enemy cc abilities, specially the long range ones like accretion, sleep and hook, also bionade exists so also be careful with that

I've found that with Reaper for nearly all of his skins, his cloak is actually part of his body. When he gets hooked, the cloak flails up into his head hitbox so this is something to keep in mind.

Is crouching while shooting ana still a workable situation? I remember back in the day that when Hog could just one shot alone he'd have trouble with ana with her hitbox so what we'd do was crouch to maximize the damage onto her. My combo to Ana: Hook, Walk, Crouch, Primary, Melee
