Thank you sooo much for this series! The old testiment was a bit difficult my 1st reading (1994) 2nd was easier (2006) this time my eyes have been failing me & you make it even more interesting🤗
Thanks Pastor Skip - in thinking about God's sovereign control of David's destiny as he flees from place to place, I'm reminded of the words of Isaiah in chapter 40. "It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, whose inhabitants are like grasshoppers,....He brings the princes to nothing and makes the judges of the earth useless." You talked about people being in distress in the last days. But Christians need to remember that God remains in sovereign control and has not surrendered His throne. On Christ the Solid Rock we stand - all other ground is sinking sand. God bless.
Pastor Skip, God has given you much knowledge and gifts to minister for the Lord. Many have come to know Jesus through your ministry. Praise be to God. I'm surprised that you would say we should pray such a prayer against the Taliban. These are people Jesus died for and who He loves more than we ever could. To want their torture (bashing teeth in etc) and death is not congruent with the character of God under the blood of Jesus that is for everyone. Did not Jesus rebuke his disciples for suggesting such measures against those that had rejected Jesus? God is the final judge for the Taliban and for us. Does not a Proverb even say "Don't rejoice when your enemy is punished, for God will see this and may stop punishing them"? Did the Spirit of Jesus really encouraged you to pray for your enemies torture? Did you ask the Holy Spirit if you should encourage the multitudes that watch these videos to pray for their enemies' torture and death? I pray that the Holy Spirit uses us all to pray for all people to receive Jesus Christ as Savior. Not to kill in horrible ways those who desperately need him. Perhaps we should learn from Jesus and pray "Father forgive them for they do not know what they are doing". Is sticking to pointing people to Jesus too much to ask? Thank you for your service to God. I'm grateful that many have given their hearts to him through your ministry. May Jesus be magnified alone. And may He be the only One to orchestrate justice and mercy as only He can.
