Thanks Mitch , great coverage on these beautiful cars and driver's too. Gota love them 4 speeds and low gears a screaming down the track . Many thanks guys ! 👍
Great to see SEGA back. Tod Oden- wow. I like the trap freeze-frame, and very good startline sound recording, and despite missing last year's snappy overall film production, I'm still here lapping it all up. Man, that is superb lettering on 'Mercury Poison'. Good luck to all in 2020, God bless from Australia.
So glad to see SEGA back running. I must say though very honestly that the video production isnt up to par with last season's effort. There are numerous instances of audio overlap that is very distracting but it still feels good to see and hear these cars running
Shout OUT to those wonderful, beautiful, muchly appreciated Back Up girls, especially Elizabeth Phillips, Thank YOU!! SEGA wouldn't be what it is without you.
Hi, guys! While I'm glad to see you back, there's also some problems. I can't help but notice how this entire race was shot pretty much from 2 angles; from behind the starting line where all you see is the back end of the cars while they disappear down the track and from the finish line where all you see is a quick blur as they pass by (where the camera was also pointed into the setting sun). Also, there were a number of instances where the audio was overlapping and sometimes drowned out by the engines. Is it possible to go back to your old style of presenting the events? They were always great before. Thanks for listening!
Thanks for following and supporting us. With the virus crap and all that's going on in the world we had to make some budget cuts and the first place was in the video department. We are now trying to do it in house to keep cost down. We had another camera but had problems with it and didn't realize it till we started editing, so we lost all of that. As for the bad editing it was all rookie mistakes. We learned a lot and within a few more tries I think things will be back to normal.
@@SoutheastGassersAssociation We enjoyed this video a lot, yes it was a little bit off from the best videos that have been done in the past but it was still pretty good, especially for being a home brewed job. Our hats are off to you and we are happy to see your videos up again. We have really been missing them. The missing camera you talked about, was that the front angle of the cars launching? That is our favorite camera angle. We also like the finish line camera when it is a really close finish. The rear camera at the launch is good too because you can really see how violent these cars leave, hard on parts! Keep up the good work and thank you for doing it!
@@SoutheastGassersAssociation All in all the display was well good enough, the camera work was perfect for the type of racing here giving it the look & feel of old time real life racings. Like the back/white movies. Throw in a few bleacher stand shots and it’ll be just it was in the 60’s!
I've always been a Southeast Gassers fan, (and I read your reply to the viewer's comment on video issues,) but at the current quality level of video production, your audience will certainly shrink from the number of viewers of previous seasons.
@25:20 George Miller absolutely gapped YoungBlood Josh Pruitt off the line and Josh could feel he didn't have enough to pull that gap back, wisely eased off and saved his gear for the next one. Moov'n on George Miller, GR8 race bud! Josh WILL be back,, count on THAT!
Love me some SEGA, racing from my teenage years, but I like the old production team's filming, Not a fan of seeing everything from the back of the Starting Line!!!!
Southeast gassers is the best drag racing in the county its so cool to see how well all of these racers run with the old school technology great job to all involved!!
Wonderful racing. Wonderful cars and, still that strange belief in a mythical being that is Ala or the God of Abraham. I do not believe in the tooth fairy anymore, or Santa Claus. I do believe in race cars.
